Sadettin Saran was detained – Last Minute News
Fenerbahçe Sports Club President Sadettin Saran was detained again last night within the scope of the drug investigation carried out by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office. Saran, who was summoned to testify as a ‘suspect’ for the crimes of “supplying drugs”, “enabling the use of drugs” and “using drugs”, gave blood and hair samples for drug testing at the Forensic Medicine Institute. It was determined that Saran’s test result was positive for cocaine and its metabolites in her hair sample.

The report was sent to the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office. In his written statement following this development, Saran stated that he had not used the substance in question throughout his life and said, “I would like to emphasize once again and especially that I have no reservations about revealing the truth using scientific methods and in accordance with universal standards. I have full faith that the truth will come out sooner or later and that the process will be concluded in a fair and transparent manner, within the framework of the principles of the rule of law.” Stating that he will request the test in question to be repeated by the Forensic Medicine Institute, Saran stated that the relevant tests will be carried out in independent testing institutions with international qualifications.

It was stated that Saran, who was seen leaving a private laboratory in Şişli yesterday afternoon, had a drug test in the laboratory. In the statement of Fenerbahçe Club, it was stated that “Our President went from our club to Maslak Provincial Gendarmerie Command with his own vehicle, with the guidance and supervision of the relevant authorities, within the scope of the ongoing judicial process. The process was carried out in an extremely calm and civilized manner from the beginning.” The substance in the foil found in Saran’s house in Assos, Çanakkale was determined to be narcotic during initial investigations. His messages with Ela Rümeysa Cebeci, who was arrested within the scope of the investigation, were also revealed. Cebeci, to whom Saran sent a photo from his plane on June 1, 2025, and on July 6, the message “Don’t forget to bring weed (with emoji) when you come to me, but in its natural, unwrapped form”, became evidence that increased the suspicion of drugs.
HE WILL NOT RESIGN
It was stated that Fenerbahçe President Sadettin Saran decided to continue as president at the meeting he held with the board of directors yesterday. Former president Ali Koç also came to the club building and visited Saran. It was learned that Koç told Saran, “Don’t give up the presidency, wait for the process.” Fenerbahçe Board Member Ertan Torunoğulları, in his statement in front of the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command after Saran was taken into custody, said, “We are calling out to our fans from here; stay calm, be comfortable. There is no problem or problem with our president. We believe in the supreme Turkish justice.” Tuncay KURTULUŞ / SPORTS SERVICE

BREAKING NEWS… CHP objected to the absolute nullity decision! YSK explained the reason for the rejection
NOT CONSIDERED AS AUTHORITY USURP
In the decision, it was stated that, in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution and relevant legislation, the duties and powers of the Supreme Electoral Council and election boards in the election processes consist of three separate stages: “pre-election”, “election day” and “post-election”. It was stated that, unlike presidential, parliamentary, local administration elections and referendums, election boards have a limited area of authority in professional organizations, unions and political party congresses that are public institutions.
In this context, it was noted that in these types of elections, election boards exercise limited control and supervision authority mainly on the election day and post-election transactions, and have no authority in terms of pre-election transactions. It was determined that the disputes regarding the pre-election processes were evaluated by the judicial authorities within the framework of the provisions of the Turkish Civil Code and the Law on Associations within the scope of Articles 29 and 121 of the Political Parties Law No. 2820, and that the decisions made in accordance with the Civil Procedure Law No. 6100 were not considered as usurpation of authority within the scope of Article 138 of the Constitution.
