No algorithm can replace maternal compassion
The “New Communication Technologies and Family Panel” organized by the Directorate of Communications and the promotion program of the “New Communication Technologies and Parenting” book were held in Ankara with a wide participation. Head of Communications Burhanettin Duran, who hosted the panel, stated in his speech that technological concepts surround daily life and underlined that the awareness level of parents should be increased by saying, “The most challenging, most complex and even the most critical digital transformation project in this field takes place not in our institutions, but in our own living rooms.”
IN THE SAME HOUSE, ON A DIFFERENT SEAT
Arguing that one of the biggest paradoxes of the current age is “getting lonely while staying connected”, Duran referred to Sherry Turkle’s concept of “being alone together” and evaluated, “We can sit in the same house, on the same couch, and live in different digital universes.” Stating that parents sharing every moment of their children on social media may pose a digital identity problem for children in the future, Duran warned: “Every digital trace we create without our child’s approval is a decision we make on his behalf and a responsibility we bear. Our children’s privacy in the digital space has to be more valuable than our number of likes on social media.”
THE MOST BASIC NEED IS PARENTAL LOVE
Speaking at the opening of the panel, Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş stated that the most basic need of children is parental love and said, “No screen can offer the warmth of the family table. No algorithm can replace the compassion of the mother and the guidance of the father. It is the bond between people and people that establishes the meaning of life.” Emphasizing that the protection of cultural codes has red lines, Minister Göktaş said, “Our fight against those who turn family values into a rating material will continue.”
FAMILIES ARE OUR STRATEGIC STRENGTH
Burhanettin Duran stated that, as the Directorate of Communications, they support the production of alternative and clean content; He drew attention to the family-friendly contents of TRT Çocuk, TRT Genç and Tabi platforms. Duran said, “Our families, with strong internal communication and a healthy parent-child bond, are the most strategic power of our nation.”

Antalya and Kayseri Provincial Mayors were dismissed
The governance crisis in the Republican People’s Party following the absolute nullity decision has gained a new dimension. The power struggle between Özgür Özel, who spoke at the group meeting in the Turkish Grand National Assembly, and Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who convened the Central Executive Board (MYK) at the headquarters, was also reflected in the provincial organizations.
Following the MYK meeting that started yesterday, CHP Antalya Provincial Chairman Nail Kamacı and CHP Kayseri Provincial Chairman Ufuk Ozan were dismissed. Hasan Şahin was appointed as the Antalya Provincial Chairman, and Okan Marzıoğlu was appointed as the Kayseri Provincial Chairman. It was noteworthy that Kamacı and Ozan, who were dismissed, were among the provincial heads who supported Özgür Özel during the absolute nullity process. The decision was interpreted as a new step of alignment within the party, as both names have recently given messages of loyalty to Özel and taken part in programs in Ankara with their organizations.
While it is being evaluated in the CHP lobbies that the Kılıçdaroğlu administration has started to liquidate names close to Özgür Özel in the party organizations, it is said that similar changes may occur in other provincial organizations in the coming days.

We will condemn anyone who objects to our sovereignty.
MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli said the following at his party’s GNAT group meeting:
WITH WHICH FACE DOES HE TEACH? (AP’s Türkiye Report): The tailor who will shape the Turkish nation has not yet been born from his mother’s womb. How will Europe try to teach Türkiye a lesson? How can those who have difficulty in closing their own security gaps dare to question the security policies of the Turkish state while they are kept waiting at the alliance tables? They waved the rags of treacherous terrorist organizations that pointed their barrels at Turkish soldiers for years in European capitals. They gladly embraced the remnants of FETO, which attempted to kill the Turkish nation.
WE CRASH THE FOREHEAD: On one side of the table, there is Europe, which has to accept Türkiye’s weight in NATO, its rise in the defense industry, its role in migration management, its place in energy routes, and its geopolitical value extending from the Black Sea to the Caucasus, from the Eastern Mediterranean to the Middle East. On the other side, there is Europe, which targets the Turkish judiciary, slanders our dear Ülkü Ocakları, despises our blue homeland cause, and ignores the sovereign equality of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and the existence of Turkish Cypriots. We will condemn anyone who tries to object to Türkiye’s sovereignty.
IT DID NOT FULFILL ITS PROMISES: Instead of fully fulfilling the promises it made to Türkiye, the EU handed over the process to the narrow calculations of some members, Greek-Greek vetoes, political prejudices and rusty ideological templates. Visa liberalization has been put on hold for years. How can we explain the meaning of honor to those who remain silent when our mosques are attacked, to those who market vile provocations against our great book, the Holy Quran, under the name of freedom of expression, to the heedless who ignore the struggle of our headscarved women to live their faith, to the mischief-makers who gleefully watch the rising hostility towards Islam in European cities?
EVERYONE WILL TAKE THEIR FOOTSTEPS: A straight line cannot be drawn from a curved ruler. Interpreting ongoing judicial processes with political motives and trying to manipulate independent Turkish courts is a desire for tutelage. The Turkish judiciary does not make decisions under the auspices of reports written in the halls of Brussels. The Republic of Türkiye cannot be brought into line by turning its face to the West through threats, indoctrination and taming insinuations of external actors. Everyone will be careful, know their place, and know their place well.
THE BACKBONE OF THE LEADING COUNTRY Türkiye’S GOAL
Showing the book titled “Stability, Morality and Welfare-Based Development Vision Document”, Bahçeli said, “This study, consisting of 8 main chapters and 800 pages, benefiting from more than 600 sources prepared with the contributions of 55 researchers, academics and bureaucrats who are experts in their fields, is the intellectual and economic backbone of our goal of ‘Leading Country Turkey’. It also reminds us of the moral and spiritual foundations that dominate the roots of our nation.”
WE WILL NOT ABANDON THE TURKISH CYPRUS
Stating that the attitude adopted by the AP report under the headings of Cyprus and the Blue Homeland is the new curtain of the old score extending to the seas, Bahçeli said, “We did not and will not abandon the Turkish Cypriots to the mercy of the blind bias of the EU and the endless spoiling of the Greek-Greek duo. The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is the outpost of the great Turkish nation in maritime geopolitics, the keystone on the southern front of our national security, the inseparable part of our blue homeland horizon.” “part of it,” he said.

Türkiye is indispensable for EU security
President Tayyip Erdoğan made statements at a joint press conference with Polish President Karol Nawrocki. Erdoğan briefly stated the following:
OUR TRADE VOLUME TARGET IS 15 BILLION DOLLARS:
With the strength we derive from our deep-rooted history with Poland spanning over six centuries; As two allies and strategic partners, we develop cooperation in every field. During our meetings, we exchanged ideas on many topics, from trade to investments, from defense industry to energy and human relations. After reaching our 10 billion dollar trade volume target, we set ourselves a new target of 15 billion dollars. We continue to work determinedly towards our new goal. Poland is among the countries where our contracting companies are most active, with projects worth approximately 9 billion dollars. We hope that the number of these projects will increase even more.
THE MOST IMPORTANT STANDING ITEM OF OUR DEFENSE INDUSTRIAL UNION: Another potential area with Poland is transportation. The three maritime initiatives of which we are strategic partners, with the support of Poland, offer an important platform in this regard. The defense industry is one of the most important agenda items of our bilateral cooperation. We have signed very important partnerships in this field in the past, both on UAVs and other defense projects. As two NATO allies that have an indispensable place in Europe’s security and defense architecture, we are working to further strengthen this cooperation. Strengthening our deep-rooted bilateral relations in a wide range of areas ranging from education and culture to science and tourism will constitute a joint investment in the future of our friendship.
POLAND’S SUPPORT TO OUR EUROPEAN UNION MEMBERSHIP PROCESS SHOULD INCREASE:
During our meetings, we also discussed Türkiye-European Union relations and current, regional and global issues. As we have emphasized on every occasion, we have the will to advance our cooperation with the European Union on the basis of mutual benefit and respect. On this occasion, I would like to thank Poland for its support to our European Union membership process and hope that this support will continue to increase.
WE EXPECT POLAND TO CONTINUE ITS SUPPORT TO THE TWO-STATE SOLUTION: We also evaluated the developments in the context of NATO together with Mr. President. Within the scope of the NATO Summit that we will organize in Ankara on 7-8 July; Strengthening the European pillar of the alliance and strengthening its deterrence constitute our common priority. At this point, we see it as important to further strengthen the transatlantic bond, with European allies assuming more responsibilities. During our meeting, we also thoroughly evaluated the latest situation in the Russia-Ukraine War and developments related to Iran. We highlighted the urgent need for peace in both areas. In this regard, one of the issues that should never be overshadowed is the process leading to permanent peace in Palestine and the Middle East. We expect Poland, which is among the countries that recognize the Palestinian state, to continue its support for the two-state solution. President Erdoğan welcomed Polish President Karol Nawrocki, who visited Türkiye, with an official ceremony. The cavalrymen welcomed Nawrocki’s official vehicle on the street in front of the Presidential Complex and escorted the vehicle to the protocol gate. President Erdoğan welcomed Nawrocki at the main entrance of the Complex. After Erdoğan and Nawrocki took their places in the ceremony area, the band played the national anthems of the two countries. During the ceremony, flags and soldiers representing 16 Turkish states in history were featured, and 21 artillery pieces were fired. Nawrocki greeted the Guard Regiment Ceremonial Guard by saying “Hello, soldier.” The two leaders presented their delegations to each other. President Erdoğan and Nawrocki shook hands and posed for the press in front of the Turkish and Polish flags on the stairs.

TRADE VOLUME EXCEEDED 12.5 BILLION DOLLARS
While the trade volume between the two countries, which has gained strong momentum in the economic field, will exceed 12.5 billion dollars in 2025, it is aimed to advance cooperation especially in the field of defense industry. Poland is one of Türkiye’s important trade partners in Europe. It is envisaged to develop trade with Poland, especially in the defense industry. In 2021, Poland purchased 24 Bayraktar TB2 Armed Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UCAVs) from Türkiye and their delivery was completed in 2024. In addition, Poland uses defense systems produced by Türkiye. As one of the last links of the cooperation with Poland, there is an export contract worth approximately 410 million dollars signed in December 2025 for electronic warfare systems. The agreement is of critical importance to increase the security and effectiveness of the Turkish defense industry in Europe and NATO geography.
OUR COOPERATION IS OF STRATEGIC IMPORTANCE
Polish President Nawrocki emphasized that the two countries play a very important role in NATO and that cooperation in this field has a very strategic importance. Nawrocki emphasized the importance of cooperation with Turkey in the field of industry and said, “Polish soldiers use Bayraktar unmanned aerial vehicles purchased from Türkiye. This kind of cooperation is a sign of how important two states are for the alliance. That is why we definitely want to continue the presence of the soldiers serving at Incirlik Base.”
