Breaking News I President Erdoğan’s statement about the missile shot down: We make our warnings in the clearest way possible
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke at the “Iftar Program with Mehmetçik” held at the Special Forces Command. Congratulating the Mehmetçik on Ramadan, Erdoğan wished that God would bring everyone to the Eid together with their loved ones and families in health and well-being.
Erdoğan said, “I am very pleased to be with you, the heroic members of the corps of heroes, and you, the distinguished soldiers of our Special Forces Command, in this holy month when the doors of mercy are wide open. May your iftar be blessed. May God accept your fasts.” he said.
“I WISH PEACE TO OUR MARTYRS”
Today, once again, President Erdoğan wished great success to each of the soldiers who served in all corners of the country at the expense of their lives to ensure the survival of the state and the security of the nation, and said:
“May God help all our security forces, including soldiers, police, gendarmerie, security guards and intelligence officers. May He protect them from all kinds of accidents, troubles, attacks and betrayals, and may He always make our army victorious. Of course, on this holy evening, I remember with mercy all our martyrs who fell to the ground for their homeland, their nation and their flag, and I wish their souls to rest in peace, their homes to be blessed, and their places to be heaven. I always remember their cherished memories. To Major Bülent Albayrak, to Major Murat Kemal Yetişen, to Captain Ertuğ Güler, to Captain Burak Coşkun, to First Lieutenant Enes Demir, to the hero of July 15, Petty Officer Senior Sergeant Ömer Halisdemir, to Petty Officer Senior Sergeant Harun Turhan, to Specialist Sergeant Nurettin Tokyürek, to Specialist Sergeant Murat Yıldırım, I pray God’s mercy to Sergeant Selçuk Paker and all the heroes whose names we have engraved in our hearts as 86 million, who cannot fit into the coffin. I also remember with gratitude all our veterans who took part in the same sacred struggle and who are no longer with us today, and I wish a long and beneficial life to our living veterans.”
“WE ARE MEMBER OF A RELIGION THAT PROVIDES THE GOOD NEWS THAT MARTYRS DO NOT DIE”
“We are members of a religion that gives the good news that martyrs do not die, on the contrary, they live. I hope the holy souls of our martyrs will guide us, guide us, and illuminate our path in the holy march of our nation.” Using his expressions, President Erdoğan emphasized that the maroon berets, the apple of the eye of the Turkish Armed Forces, wrote an epic at home and beyond the border, especially in the fight against terrorism.
Important statements from President Erdoğan!
Stating that the nation is proud of the maroon berets who played vital roles in many known and unknown critical operations, Erdoğan said, “As I look at you today, I see the courage, bravery and dedication that inspired the following lines of the late Niyazi Yıldırım Gençosmanoğlu. ‘This earth is a soldier’s field, the heart does not like every field. A quilt and a bed for the faint-hearted, give the field to the brave man. O empty inside, outside. Fancy, dirty hands, rusty face, let Asim’s generation reach the narrow square for you.’ “I wholeheartedly congratulate you and all the brave coaches who narrow down the field to the cowards, and all the members of this distinguished community.” he said.
“WE BREAKED THE DIRTY HANDS ONE BY ONE”
Reminding that one of the most frequently used expressions for the Turkish nation is the definition of “military nation”, President Erdoğan said:
“We have shown many times in our thousand-year history in these lands what kind of a nation we are when our homeland, our flag, our independence and our sacred values are threatened, when our independence and future are in danger. Throughout history, there have been those who predicted life for us, those who labeled us ‘sick men’, and those who thought they could drive us out of these lands. They tried to silence our calls to Muhammad and lower our glorious flag, which takes its color from the blood of our martyrs.” Those who attempted it were the invaders. First, in Çanakkale, in the last War of Independence, we managed to break the dirty and treacherous hands that reached out to our city, one by one. If we had not had this spirit of struggle, we would not have been able to live openly and with our heads held high in the most turbulent region of the world today. “If we do, we owe this first to our national character, which never accepts captivity, and then to the deterrence of our heroic army.”

This line, with a total length of 125 kilometers, will relieve the freight and passenger traffic on Marmaray, and will directly connect the two major airports of Istanbul for the first time.” For this project, which has attracted great interest in the international arena, we have reached a preliminary agreement with 6 prestigious financial institutions, including the World Bank, Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, OPEC International Development Fund and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. This agreement, which will provide a total of 6.75 billion dollars of financing, also bears the title of Türkiye’s largest externally financed railway project. The tender announcement was published in the Official Gazette last week, following the tender process. “With the completion of the line, we will reach a capacity of 33 million passengers and 30 million tons of freight per year. We continue our international cooperation efforts in the Development Road project, which will carry cargo from China, East Asia and India to Europe via the FAW Port in the Persian Gulf. As you know, our Kırıkkale-Çorum-Samsun line goes down in history as the first high-speed train passenger transportation project to the north of Türkiye when we consider Ankara-centered. Our Ankara-Konya and Konya-Karaman high-speed train lines have been serving our citizens for many years. The following lines of these lines, Karaman-Ulukışla And the construction of our Mersin-Adana-Osmaniye-Gaziantep high-speed train lines continues. This line, which is progressing with your efforts, is not only a transportation route extending from Ankara to Samsun and the Black Sea, but also rises as a bridge of civilization that will strengthen our brotherhood, relieve our homesickness and increase the prosperity of our region. Especially during religious holidays where spirituality reaches its peak, such as the upcoming Eid al-Fitr, increasing traffic on Kırıkkale, Delice and Çorum routes. We are implementing the 120 kilometer Delice – Çorum section of the 293 kilometer new high speed train line, which will start from Delice and pass through Çorum and Merzifon, working day and night with 3 thousand personnel and 850 machines. As of today, our general physical progress in this stage has reached approximately 23 percent by excavating 27.61 million cubic meters. “We have achieved 87 realizations, a total of 9 thousand 507 meters in 8 tunnels. In addition, we have included the connection between Çorum and Samsun, which is the continuation of our line, in the investment program this year. Hopefully, we plan to realize its construction tender within the year. With the completion of the Çorum-Merzifon-Samsun sections, the travel time between Ankara and Samsun will be 2.5 hours; 12 million passengers and 14 million tons of cargo will be transported annually; a strong logistics axis will be established between the Black Sea and the Central Anatolia and Mediterranean basins, and a significant capacity increase will be achieved in regional development and freight transportation. “It will also ease the freight traffic on the straits and make Türkiye a logistics superpower in global trade,” he said.

February 28 mentality in the academy – Last Minute News
Working at Izmir Dokuz Eylül University (DEU), Dr. The headscarf photo of Lecturer T.Ş. taken during the online lecture was taken by Prof. from the same university. Dr. It was shared by MB in a WhatsApp group that included students. It was claimed that the post contained vulgar profanities against the female academician’s personality and religious values. T.Ş., who learned about the incident through an e-mail from a student on Teacher’s Day, started a legal battle.
‘PREPAYMENT’ DECISION FROM THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE
Following the criminal complaint made to the Izmir Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, the file was first sent to the university and then returned to the prosecutor’s office on the grounds that it was ‘not within the scope of duty’. The prosecutor’s office evaluated the action within the scope of the crime of “insulting with a voice, written or video message” and decided not to prosecute after the suspect paid the judicial fine (prepayment). After this decision became final, the victim academic filed a lawsuit for compensation of 100 thousand TL for moral compensation for the attack on his faith.

“WE WILL FIGHT”
Emrah Yolcu, the lawyer of the victim academician T.Ş., made poisonous statements regarding the issue. Stating that the attack was directly focused on “headscarf” and “belief”, Yolcu said, “Turkey will never go back to those old dark days, the February 28 period, when people were not admitted to universities. It is surprising that the outdated mentality of 30 years ago can still find this courage in itself today. Since our client is both a woman and a faithful academician, they want to be intimidated by being told, ‘You cannot be an academic, you will be exposed to these insults if you do.’ “We will fight this ‘blind mentality’ until the end. Our client will donate the compensation earned to charities,” he said.
The legal process regarding the incident continues.

Türkiye has the will to protect itself
Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan gave the following messages at the iftar program held with Ankara representatives of media organizations the previous evening:
Our demand regarding the US and Israel’s war with Iran is clear: Mutual attacks should stop as soon as possible and diplomacy should be resumed.
We fought to prevent the war from happening. We also offered creative solutions. We even delayed the start of the war. Maybe they could have achieved a result, but they chose to return to the old method.
We see that Kurdish groups of different stripes in Iran come together, form an alliance and make joint statements. How long will they fight the regime, how long will they fight other ethnicities in their place, what will happen, what are they aiming for, what will come from where, we follow and analyze all of them. A Terror-Free Zone is a must for a Terror-free Türkiye.
I don’t think there is much risk for Northern Cyprus. I foresee that the risk is limited in the South as well.

There are some claims that regional countries are responding to Iran, which may be true.
I am speaking independently of the Iran issue: Türkiye always protects itself. We have both the will and the ability to do this.
There is no single-layer negotiation, there are multi-layer negotiations. First, can we bring the warring parties back to the table? When will the attacking party stop or be ready to stop its attack? Reaching the minimum to military incompetence. The maximum is regime change. We have been talking about Iran with the Europeans for a few days, saying, “If you want peace, let’s work together.”
We have approximately 20 thousand citizens in Iran, including dual citizens. Both our Turkish citizens and third country citizens can pass into our country without any problems through our three border gates with Iran.
Since the June War, we have been holding coordination meetings with relevant units under the coordination of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Iran does not expel its own citizens from the border. Therefore, no one comes to us from Iran. The Iranian people did nothing for 12-13 days in the previous war.
Israel is stopping entry and exit from Gaza, because of the war, and the other countries that were hit are the countries we work with in Gaza.
Israel does not want neighboring countries to acquire certain capabilities. Efforts are being made to obtain a result from CAATSA before the by-election.
If there will be a formation in our own neighborhood, we are ready to be in it together.
THE DURATION AND FORM OF THE WAR MAY CHANGE
Regarding the effects of the war in a TV program he attended, Foreign Minister Fidan said, “The war is not limited to Iran, it spreads to the entire region. Iran’s strategy is to attack the energy infrastructures of the countries in the region. As it is attacked, it tries to create pressure from there. The duration and shape of the war may change. Iran’s bombing of all these places without any discrimination is an incredibly wrong strategy.”
