President Erdoğan: We will make Istanbul a global financial center
President Erdoğan greeted the participants at the 22 May Financial Literacy Day Program held at the Presidential Dolmabahçe Office and expressed his satisfaction in participating in the program.
Thanking those who contributed to the organization of the program, President Erdoğan wished that the program would be beneficial for the country, nation and national economy, especially the financial sector.
Congratulating the Capital Markets Board for its important role in spreading financial literacy throughout the country with the training and information activities it organizes, Erdoğan said that these studies carried out in cooperation with ministries, institutions and non-governmental organizations contribute to the creation of financial awareness in all age groups, from primary school youth to households.
Erdoğan stated that he found these studies, which cover a wide range of topics from banking to stock market, from budget management to credit, from investments to digital assets, valuable.
Stating that all components of the economy, from production to exports, from investment to employment, depend on the stability in the capital and financial markets, Erdoğan said, “Similarly, the increase in the national income and welfare level is directly proportional to the smooth and predictable functioning of the financial systems, free from manipulation and speculation. The stronger the capital markets of a country, the stronger its production capacity, technology investment, entrepreneurial spirit and competitive power. The fair, transparent and safe functioning of the capital and financial markets, meeting the expectations and needs in the market, It is of great importance.” he said.
Emphasizing that when we look at the economies of developed countries, deepened financial structures and strong capital markets can be seen behind them, Erdoğan said, “But it is also a fact that we are living in a period where digital technologies and artificial intelligence transform financial markets like other areas. We are faced with a multi-dimensional picture ranging from saving habits to investment decisions, from digital payment systems to cyber security, from virtual gambling and illegal betting to digital finance threats.” made his assessment.
“MANIPULATIVE CONTENT HAS REACHED ALARMING LEVELS ACROSS THE WORLD”
Pointing out that the digital transformation experienced in financial systems in recent years brings with it threats as well as opportunities, Erdoğan said:
“Manipulative content, fictitious transactions, structures promising high profits in a short time, especially spread through social media and digital communication platforms, have reached alarming levels worldwide. Similarly, fake investment advice, digital fraud and shell account attempts and many more have reached levels that threaten not only individuals but also the reputation of financial systems. In such a conjuncture, financial literacy has gone far beyond individual budget management capacity and has become a necessary condition for a strong, resilient and sustainable economy. We are more focused on this issue.” “We look at it from a broad perspective and approach it from the perspective of social awareness, digital security and financial resilience.”
Underlining that international studies also confirm this sensitivity, Erdoğan continued as follows:
“A study conducted by the OECD in 2023 reveals that societies with high financial literacy direct their savings to more productive areas and make healthier borrowing and investment decisions. Likewise, it confirms that they are more alert against manipulative manipulations and adopt a long-term investment culture. This undoubtedly contributes significantly to the deepening of capital markets, the healthy growth of the financial system and the more effective, efficient and fair distribution of resources in the economy.”
President Erdoğan said, “As a state, we have worked hard to make Istanbul a global finance and attraction center, and we are doing so. We have once again and strongly demonstrated our determination in this direction with the ‘Turkey as a Strong Center for Investments’ program that we organized at the Istanbul Financial Center four weeks ago.” he said.

The dirty wheel in Beşiktaş Municipality has been exposed!
“500 THOUSAND DOLLARS WERE SENT TO GÖKHAN ZEYBEK’S DAUGHTER IN THE USA”
One of the most shocking allegations in the statement was the financial relationship between CHP Deputy Chairman Gökhan Zeybek and Beşiktaş Mayor Rıza Akpolat. Suspect Uluer said, “I heard that the expenses of Gökhan Zeybek’s daughter, who is studying in America, were covered by Rıza Akpolat. They told me that they sent nearly 500,000 dollars to his daughter.” It was also noted that Akpolat also covered the construction costs of a beautician’s luxury clinic in Levent.
“REGULAR MONEY WAS GOING TO CHP HEADQUARTERS”
Referring to Beşiktaş Mayor Rıza Akpolat’s relations with the CHP Headquarters, Uluer said, “I heard that Rıza Akpolat regularly sends money to the headquarters under the name of ‘support’, but I do not know the source of this money.”
130 THOUSAND DOLLARS WERE DISTRIBUTED AT THE CONGRESS WHERE ÖZEL WAS ELECTED
Uluer, who implicitly confirmed that the CHP 38th Ordinary Congress, in which Özgür Özel was elected Chairman, was financed by Beşiktaş Municipality, said that the expenses of some party members staying at the luxury Marriott Hotel in Ankara were paid by the Mayor. The suspicious council member, who deciphered the vote bargains at the congress, explained how the will of the delegates was corrupted with the following words: “Erzurum Provincial Mayor Safi Karayalçın was given tenders from Beşiktaş Municipality to vote for Özgür Özel at the congress. I also heard that this person was given 130,000 USD in cash to persuade the Erzurum delegates (10 delegates). Again, Ümraniye delegate Hayati Kaya, Özgür Özel “In return for voting for Özel, he was hired at Beşiktaş Municipality. The brother of Çekmeköy District Mayor Melda Tanışman Tutan was also employed at the municipality.”
THE INVESTIGATION IS DEEPENING

President Erdoğan: Energy is the power element of national security
Erdoğan continued his speech with the following words:
“Once again, I would like to bring this to your attention. Turkey is the strongest bridge, transition and crossroads between the geographies with rich energy resources and the countries that need them. The recent crises in our region have confirmed and reinforced this feature of Türkiye. Despite all the provocations, our country has stayed out of the war with its prudent politics and has contributed to the establishment of tranquility with its initiatives that prioritize diplomacy and dialogue. Turkey has recently come to the fore as both a reliable partner in energy transportation and a key actor of peace. The positive effects of this have been evident. And I believe we will see more in the long run.”
Noting that Türkiye’s indispensability in reliable energy supply is once again understood, President Erdoğan stated that the steps taken by the government in the last 23 years have a large share in this. President Erdoğan announced that when they took office, Türkiye’s daily natural gas input capacity was approximately 90 million cubic meters, and today this figure has increased to 495 million cubic meters.
Stating that they supply natural gas from a total of 5 pipelines, 2 from Russia, 2 from Azerbaijan and 1 from Iran, President Erdoğan said, “Turkey now has a huge energy infrastructure that supplies natural gas from more than 50 companies from 39 countries. We have made Türkiye one of the most powerful energy centers in Europe with LNG terminals, FSRU facilities, storage investments and pipelines. With the new investments we will make, we have a daily LNG gasification capacity.” “We will increase it from 161 million cubic meters to 200 million cubic meters.” he said.
“OUR DOMESTIC GAS WILL REACH 16-17 MILLION HOMES”
President Erdoğan stated that another notable achievement was the drilling and exploration activities that started with the National Energy and Mining Policy announced in 2016, and said, “We literally changed the paradigm here. We have invested very seriously in this field in 10 years with the motto ‘The only ones who find are those who seek’.”
“We carried out exploration activities in the ‘blue homeland’ with our own engineers, our own ships and our own equipment.” President Erdoğan said, “With our Fatih Drilling Ship, we have made the largest natural gas discovery in the history of our Republic. Our daily production in the Sakarya Gas Field, which is despised by the opposition, has reached 9.5 million cubic meters today. With this production amount, we meet the energy needs of millions of households. With the commissioning of our Osmangazi Production Platform, we will increase our daily production to 20 million cubic meters in 2026. Thus, we hope to meet the needs of 8 million households from the Black Sea.” “We will be.” made his statements.
Stating that the construction of the second floating production platform is continuing, President Erdoğan said, “With its entry into service in 2028, production will increase to 45 million cubic meters per day in the third phase and our domestic gas will reach 16-17 million households.” he said.
Underlining that they made history not only in the Black Sea but also in Gabar, President Erdoğan said, “Our oil discovery in Şırnak Gabar has been recorded as the largest oil discovery in the history of our Republic. Regions that have been associated with terrorism and terrorist acts for decades are today remembered with production, investment and employment. Today, tourism is revived in places that remained idle for years due to security threats, employment is increasing, agriculture is developing, and the faces of our farmers, industrialists, tradesmen and citizens are smiling.” he said.
“PRODUCTION IN GABAR MAKES A GREAT CONTRIBUTION TO Türkiye’S ENERGY SUPPLY SECURITY”
President Erdoğan stated that as the dark shadow of terrorism recedes and the areas illuminated by peace expand, cities that have been symbols of fear, migration and insecurity for years are rapidly rising to their feet and said, “Today, the production obtained from Gabar contributes greatly to Türkiye’s energy supply security. 44 percent of our domestic oil production comes only from our wells in Gabar. Hopefully, a new story will begin to be written as the terror-free Türkiye process reaches its reach.” made his evaluations.
Stating that while Türkiye is getting rid of a heavy burden whose direct and indirect cost to its economy exceeds 2 trillion dollars, the resources allocated to the fight against terrorism will be allocated to more productive areas, President Erdoğan said, “The biggest winner of this will be every individual of the 86 million, along with the people of the region who have been suffering for decades.” he said.
Stating that we have already witnessed the signs of what an atmosphere where terrorism is zero means for Turkey, Erdoğan said, “Following the discovery in Gabar, 4 fields were determined in Diyarbakır. We plan to work on 24 wells in the next 3 years. Apart from these, we also have other preparations. We will continue to increase our exploration, drilling and production activities both at home and abroad in order for Turkish Petroleum to become a company that produces a total of 1 million barrels of oil and natural gas.” he said.
President Erdoğan continued his words as follows:
“While Turkey is developing its own resources, it is also making a name for itself as one of the most reliable partners in global energy diplomacy. Our drilling activities in Somalia, our planned work in Pakistan, and our collaborations from Libya to Central Asia are the most concrete indicators of this. The work we carry out off the coast of Somalia is of historical importance as it is Türkiye’s first deep-sea exploration drilling abroad. We anticipate completing the drilling operation in 6 to 9 months if climate and weather conditions permit. Our desire is to complete the drilling operation in 6 to 9 months, if the climate and weather conditions permit. “Our aim is to give the good news that they have been waiting for to the brotherly people of Somalia, who have been struggling with internal instability and famine for years. Our joint work with the new government in our neighbor Syria, both on the mining and oil side, will be much more suitable for new cooperation opportunities with the completion of the integration process in Syria. As Turkey, we are providing the necessary support to the Syrian government to ensure that the process ends safely.”
Stating that they are undergoing a great transformation in the field of mining, President Erdoğan said that Türkiye ranks 9th in the world in terms of mineral diversity.
Stating that mineral exports amounted to 6.2 billion dollars in 2025, President Erdoğan said, “Our country, which has 73 percent of the world’s boron reserves, is the leader of the world boron market through Eti Maden. The huge reserve discovered in Eskişehir Beylikova in rare earth elements has brought Türkiye to the league of champions on a global scale in the field of critical minerals. We obtained the first product in lithium carbonate production with the pilot facility established in Eskişehir Kırka. 600 tons per year in the same place.” “Our work towards the establishment of a capacity industrial facility continues uninterruptedly.” he said.

“Although it is a fact that technology provides great convenience for people, it is also a fact that it causes people to become lonely, alienated, and alienated from their own culture and values. Therefore, we always need activities and structures that will eliminate this issue and do something on the other side of the coin. With such events, the World Ethnosport Union ensures that societies, both in Türkiye and around the world, come together with their own values in sports, culture and brotherhood. This is an extremely important issue. The world is truly ours now.” “It is extremely valuable to give such messages and bring our people together with such events, especially at a time when the truth as we know it is going in the opposite direction.”
“WE ARE AN IMPORTANT PART OF THESE ACTIVITIES”
In his speech, Yumaklı touched upon the importance of participating and supporting such festivals as the Ministry, and stated that the festival brings together different fields such as sports, culture and gastronomy, and that the Ministry contributes to this holistic structure. Yumaklı said:
“As the Ministry, we are an important part of this activity. Because almost the majority of the units of our Ministry produce different values, both in terms of sports, culture and social values. For example, if we consider the issue of equestrianism, our General Directorate of Agricultural Enterprises is an authority on thoroughbred Arabian horses not only in Türkiye but also in the world. 1620 types of agricultural and food products all over Türkiye have received geographical indications. 46 of them have been registered by the European Union. As you know, the 8th Ethnosport Culture Festival is about sports, “There is a culture and gastronomy side. All of the topics I mentioned are worth it.”
Emphasizing that, as the Ministry, they are making intense efforts regarding biodiversity, forest existence and ecotourism, Yumaklı said, “Our teams are working especially to create ecotourism-related routes and to make sports, culture and our values accessible. They are trying to bring these to our citizens.” he said.
Stating that he closely witnessed the development of the World Ethnosport Union from its establishment to today, Yumaklı completed his speech by thanking the World Ethnosport Union President Bilal Erdoğan, all the management staff, institutions and everyone who contributed.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports will cooperate with the Zero Waste Foundation
“THERE IS A WATER SHORTAGE IN THE WORLD”
Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak noted that they should especially protect water.

We need to prevent these. Who will do this? Young people will do it. Children will be the managers of the future. You will be in our place. Therefore, this is very important. We will choose young people who produce, volunteer and bring solutions. We will walk with them. There will be a Zero Waste Forum on June 5-7. We will also take part there. For example, water “How will we protect it? We will not leave the taps running. Water will not flow while we brush our teeth. There is a water shortage in the world.
