Call from Director of Communications Duran to fight disinformation: We need to say ‘stop’ together

Published

on

Director of Communications Burhanettin Duran, in his post on his social media account, emphasized that we are in a period where content spreads very quickly and that this speed brings with it a great danger.

“LET’S RAISE THE VOICE OF TRUTH TOGETHER”

Stating that this danger is ‘disinformation’, Duran said:

“Let’s not forget that not every claim we come across is true, not every post is real. Our strongest shield against this danger, especially in the digital world, is our individual awareness and habit of questioning. In our fight for truth, we need to defend our cyber homeland together and say ‘stop’ to disinformation. I invite you to carefully watch and spread this public service announcement that we have prepared to raise awareness against disinformation. Let’s raise the voice of truth together.”

Duran’s post also included a public service announcement prepared to raise awareness against disinformation.

“BELIEVE IN TRUTH, NOT INTERACTION”

The following statements were included in the public service announcement:

“The content produced behind a screen crosses borders in seconds. A share and a lie that replaces the truth grows, spreads, and suddenly everyone talks about it. But not everything seen is the truth, not everything shared is the truth. Remember, disinformation becomes stronger if you believe it. Stop, think, question. Do not share without checking the source. Because the truth is not in the interaction, but in the truth. Believe in the truth, not in the interaction. Say ‘stop’ to disinformation.”

AK Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik’s reaction to AP Akın Gürlek: We reject his targeting of Türkiye with ‘political bigotry’

Published

on

AK Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik, in his statement on his virtual media account, said, “For a member of the European Parliament to speak in the tone of a ‘colonial commissioner’ when talking about the Republic of Turkey is a political embarrassment for him and an abuse of the values of the Parliament. The EP needs to seriously address this indifference. It is clear from his speech that this person has no political character and there is nothing to be taken seriously.”

Since this person has the title of ‘member of the European Parliament and shadow rapporteur’, we are obliged to respond due to the care we show about the ‘European Parliament’. It is not anyone’s place to target the Cabinet of the Republic of Türkiye, our Minister of Justice, Mr. Akın Gürlek, or any member of our Cabinet with disrespectful language. The motives behind this disrespect on behalf of the European Parliament should be seriously questioned by this long-established institution. “Respect for the sovereign rights of the Republic of Türkiye cannot be a matter of discussion,” he said.

‘WE WILL NOT ALLOW INJUSTICE TO Türkiye’S SOVEREIGN RIGHTS’

Çelik continued his statement: “The European Parliament was a qualified ‘school of politics and human rights’ in the past. Today, it is losing value due to the ‘guided political lobbying’ activities of some unqualified politicians who speak in the manner of a ‘colonial commissioner’. It has been seen that the reports prepared about Turkey in the past years were based on satisfying some political focuses, instead of reflecting the truth and opening the doors of dialogue. We attach importance to all kinds of dialogue in line with the European Parliament’s respected past and equitable approaches. We do not allow any disrespect to the sovereign rights of the Republic of Turkey. The European Parliament must strongly compensate for its mistakes in failing to stand on the right side of history on basic humanitarian issues, especially Gaza.

The European Parliament has the knowledge to be a strong supporter of the ‘alliance of humanity’, and this knowledge must first be respected by the members of the Parliament. In this context, if the European Parliament wants to use ‘sanctions’ tools correctly and respectfully, it should include European politicians who support the Zionists’ genocidal crimes in Gaza on its agenda. The EP, which has not decided to impose sanctions on politicians who support the Zionist genocide in Europe, has no ground to speak on other issues. Today, there are many agendas on which some members of the European Parliament act under the tutelage of ‘political bigotry’ under various influences. This bigoted political language aimed at Türkiye has no validity. We reject the fact that some members of the European Parliament target Türkiye with ‘political bigotry’. “The best option is for the European Parliament to send these political bigots to the ‘democracy primary school’,” he said.

Anatomy of a Slander: Its Digital Base is FETO, Its Square is CHP! How was Operation 128 Billion Dollars designed?

Published

on

DIGITAL LEG OF THE OPERATION: FETO’S BLACK PROPAGANDA

This attack, which started with the CHP center, was turned into a huge perception operation in the digital world by FETO’s fugitives and social media networks. FETO members, fugitives and the organization’s social media networks strongly supported the digital leg and “perception management” part of the operation. The organization’s support for this campaign was provided by artificial agenda work carried out through social media accounts managed abroad, YouTube broadcasts, bot accounts, and the dissemination of disinformation content produced. The digital base of the perception operation was made with the YouTube broadcasts of fugitive FETO members. The most well-known FETO members, masked as “journalists” and “analysts” who escaped from Türkiye during the campaign period and broadcast from abroad, published videos covering this issue every day.
Cevheri Güven, a fugitive FETO member and mentioned in many conspiracy investigations, played the role of providing so-called “intelligence/background” for CHP’s political discourses, by producing fictional scenarios based on the Central Bank reserves and Berat Albayrak in the manipulative videos he shot, telling the lie that the money was “improperly transferred to someone”.
Said Sefa, one of the managers of FETO’s Fuat Avni account, asked “Where is the 128 billion dollars?” in his broadcasts on social media and YouTube. He tried to make the opposition voters believe in this perception by exaggerating the question and the fake graphics and claims produced. Fugitive FETO members Adem Yavuz Arslan, Tarık Toros and Erkam Tufan Aytav presented the claims of CHP politicians as “evidence of economic collapse” on their digital platforms and tried to bring these discourses to the western public every day.

1097 houses found their owners in Kocaeli

Published

on

Within the scope of the Cedit District Urban Transformation Project implemented in Kocaeli, a draw was held for a total of 1105 independent sections consisting of 1097 residences and 8 commercial units. Speaking at the ceremony held at Kocaeli International Congress Center, Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum said that the project is one of the most important transformation works in the history of Kocaeli.

Drawing attention to the earthquake reality of Kocaeli, Kurum stated that the main purpose of urban transformation is to provide citizens with safe housing. He stated that the importance of the houses built after the 2020 Elazığ Earthquake in 2020 and the 2023 Kahramanmaraş Earthquake in 2023 was better understood.

Emphasizing that risky buildings in Cedit District have been replaced by modern and safe living spaces, Kurum said that the region has been rebuilt with parks, green areas and social facilities. While the beneficiaries of 1097 houses were determined with the draw, the date for key delivery was also announced.

Minister Kurum announced that key deliveries will begin on Monday, June 22, and all houses will be delivered before the schools open. He also stated that citizens’ debts were fixed according to the terms of the first tender in June 2023, and that there would be no price increases or updates after this date, and provided financial assurance to the beneficiaries.

WE WANT THAT THERE IS NO ONE WHO DOESN’T HAVE A HOUSE.
MURAT KURUM: The earthquake zone is over, we will start 500 thousand new social housing. We have drawn the lots and we will start deliveries in March 2027. We want there to be no one left without a home. In this context, we offer access to 20 thousand houses to our middle-income citizens in 64 provinces under TOKİ Presidency. There are 423 residences in Kocaeli. Sales take place on Monday. I believe that these houses will be a precaution against earthquake risk in Kocaeli.
