First Lady Erdoğan: History imposes an important mission on us
Thanking the Istanbul Provincial Presidency for the organization, First Lady Erdoğan said, “The taste of being together with old friends and companions is truly different.” he said.
First Lady Erdoğan stated that they have been working shoulder to shoulder with women’s branches for years, day and night, and said, “We support each other in good times and bad times, in joy and sorrow. I have friendships with many of you for many years. We worked hard together in the founding cadres of the AK Party movement. The difficulties, struggles and sacrifices of that time have turned into today’s memories full of lessons.” he said.
Stating that they have branched out over the years, with old and new staff, just like a family tree whose roots go deeper with each new generation, Erdoğan said, “That’s why today we are at a family table, not at a corporate iftar. How fortunate we are to be with our brothers. Our Prophet says in one of his hadiths, ‘Continuing old friendship is part of faith.’ Because the feeling of loyalty comes from faith.” he said.
Erdoğan said, “For the sake of these senior friendships, for which I am always grateful, let us hold each other closer than ever and never allow the devil to cause discord between us for any reason. I want you to know that you are always in my prayers. May God always preserve our unity and prosperity, and do not show us the shortcomings of each other.” he said.
Stating that fasting is hungry for the time that revives with the voice of the Quran, hands opened with prayers, hearts filled with mercy, Erdoğan said, “What is on the world’s agenda shows that fasting is hungry for a refined Muslim mind, a conscious ummah, and faithful hearts that will direct history. It is hungry for closing the ranks, the spirit of cause, the power of unity and solidarity. God has given us all to comprehend these, to understand and live Ramadan properly, to be Muslims worthy of this religion.” Because Allah tells us in His verse: ‘Hold tightly to the rope of Allah, all together, and do not become divided.’ ” he commands. made his assessment.
First Lady Erdoğan continued her speech as follows:
“In these holy days, we see how our geography is going through great tests. We are literally in a ring of fire. Akif’s claim to civilization, which he calls a ‘monster with only one tooth left’, is not taken lightly. That so-called civilization targets primary schools and newborn hospitals. Wherever it goes, children’s graves are dug side by side, mass child burials are carried out, leaving behind thousands of orphans. These crises that neighboring countries have been dragged into, of course, deeply sadden us. However, at the same time, the leadership of our President and the AK Party, which has come to life for our country for years. “We also witness how good the services we received have taken us.”
“Today, we are a country that can produce its own technology, satellites, aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles and automobiles with our national technology move.” First Lady Erdoğan said, “We have a high level of capacity to ensure the security of our country and nation. You are already closely following the diplomatic activities carried out by our President. We strive not only for our own security, but also to ensure peace in our region and all over the world and to solve problems through diplomacy. In this sense, Turkey is the most benevolent power in the world, as well as the voice and representative of common sense. If today, as a nation, we can break our fast in peace and lay our heads on the pillow safely, all of you have contributed to this.” he said.
“IN THE FIRST DAYS, THE NUMBER OF WOMEN MEMBERS WAS ONLY A FEW THOUSANDS”
First Lady Erdoğan stated that everyone knows how much President Erdoğan values women and said:
“They state at every opportunity that women are ‘the subject of politics, not the object’. You have always lived up to this promise and continue to do so. If you remember, in those early days when the AK Party was founded, our number of female members was only a few thousand. But a handful of women, whose hearts were full of love for the homeland, put their stamp on Turkish politics despite all the difficult conditions, obstacles and impossibilities. Because we did not pursue personal interests. We did not make calculations. We had only one problem, and that was our own. “Our goal was to tear down the walls that trapped our nation living in internal exile in our homeland, to work like ants and bring giant works to our country, and to leave a strong Turkey to future generations. Fortunately, following your footsteps, the number of women participating in the AK Party movement has exceeded 6 million today. There is no other example of such a large women’s organization in the world political history. Now, we will build the Turkey Century with these 6 million believing women, and we will do this not only for ourselves but for all humanity.”
Noting that Türkiye is the hope and prayer of oppressed geographies, Erdoğan said, “History imposes an important mission on us. We need to see this well, realize this heavy responsibility on our shoulders and continue on our way stronger and more determinedly. At this point, one of the biggest duties falls on our Istanbul Provincial Directorate. Because Istanbul is the heart of Türkiye. Our story started here. The spirit of the AK Party was born here. In short, we will keep this spirit vigorous in all our provincial and district organizations. It’s you.” He made a statement.
Explaining that the AK Party Women’s Branch is like a memory, Erdoğan said, “I wish our founders and young cadres to come together more often. I want consultation meetings to be held, and I want the elders of our party to tell the young people about their historical testimonies first hand. Because you are the memory of this movement. They will learn from you not to give up, to take a dignified stance in the face of criticism and even attacks, to cope with difficulties, to persevere, to bear the responsibility of the cause, to open the doors of hearts and to win hearts. “I hope we can pass on the valuable legacy of experience to the young staff together.” He completed his speech with these words:
“EVERY PATTERN WOVEN BY OUR WOMEN WITH PATIENCE AND PRAYERS IS NOT JUST A FABRIC”
AK Party Headquarters Women’s Branch President Tuğba Işık Ercan also said that Emine Erdoğan is the most loyal witness of the AK Party’s case.
Stating that every rug in Anatolia has a story and every stitch has a meaning, Ercan said, “Every pattern woven by our women with patience, grace and prayers has become not just a fabric, but the memory of a nation, the trace of a deep-rooted culture. That ‘first stitch’ you made was actually the beginning of the women’s movement that changed the bad fortune of a nation. The march you started that day with patience, grace and great faith is today where millions of women freely engage in politics and proudly at every level of the state.” It turned into a giant tapestry of civilization that it served.” he said.
Ercan stated that loyalty is the name of a stance and loyalty for them and said, “Our loyalty is to this city, this country, this nation and our sacred values that make us who we are. Turkey, which buried those gloomy days of February 28 in history, is today experiencing the Turkey Century, which produces UAVs and UCAVs with female engineers, thanks to your efforts. This freedom where our children do not have to choose between their beliefs and their careers, where women say ‘I’m in’ in every field.” “The climate is the fruit of your sweat and efforts. May God bless you all.” he said.
“WE TOUCH HEARTS WITH THE LOVE OF THE FIRST DAY, NEIGHBORHOOD, NEIGHBORHOOD, STREET, DOOR TO DOOR”
AK Party Istanbul Provincial Women’s Branch President Saliha Demirer underlined that they have left a full year behind and said, “As the AK Party Istanbul Provincial Women’s Branch organization, we come from within the nation and produce politics for our nation with our strong organizational structure of 11 thousand 250 people in 39 districts and 961 neighborhoods of Istanbul, we touch hearts neighborhood by neighborhood, street by street, door to door with the love of the first day. We leave our mark on every street of Istanbul and become a partner in many stories. In 2025 “We believe that with our 24 thousand 286 new members joining us and a total of over 1 million 180 thousand female members in Istanbul, we will write the story of the Istanbul Century together.” he said.
After the speeches, Saliha Demirer presented Emine Erdoğan with a painting engraved with etamine in memory of the day.
The program continued with iftar after the recitation of the Holy Quran and the call to prayer, and ended with a family photo shoot.
First Lady Erdoğan later visited the “Trace and Loop” corner at the provincial headquarters and tied the first stitches of a carpet.
Many attended the iftar program, including Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, AK Party Sevilay Tuncer and Fatma Betül Sayan Kaya, AK Party Group Özlem Zengin, AK Party Istanbul Provincial Abdullah Özdemir’s wife Nihal Özdemir, Istanbul Women’s Branch MYK and MKYK Deputy Chairman members, members of parliament, women district and town deputy chairmen and guests of the Founding Women’s Branch of the Welfare Party.

AK Party Deputy Chairman Hüseyin Yayman: Digital addiction has become a national security problem
AK Party Deputy Chairman Hüseyin Yayman participated in the “Specialized Academy” program organized in cooperation with the Provincial Representation of the Turkish Youth Foundation (TÜGVA) and Hatay Mustafa Kemal University (HMKÜ). Yayman, who came together with a large student group here, drew attention to the armed attacks at schools in Şanlıurfa and Kahramanmaraş at the beginning of his speech, and wished God’s mercy to those who lost their lives in the incident and patience to their families. He said, “As 86 million of us, we are in mourning as a nation, we have experienced a very painful event, we are living in times when words are stuck in our throats.”
Saying that he was from Hatay and was very interested in reading from a young age; Explaining that he worked hard to make his dreams come true and the importance of setting goals, Yayman advised students to follow their dreams.
DIGITAL ADDICTION HAS BECOME A NATIONAL SECURITY PROBLEM
Drawing attention to digital addiction, Yayman said, “The scourge called digital addiction has taken not only Türkiye but the world hostage. Please, let’s act more consciously against this, because this situation has become as dangerous as substance addiction.” he said.
Yayman stated that there are 20 million young people in Türkiye and that it is very important for these young people to be more educated, equipped and keep up with the digital age, and said that we need to declare national mobilization on this issue. In his speech, Yayman stated that the population of 20 million young people is more than the population of the Netherlands, Greece, Portugal and Bulgaria and that the youth issue has now become a national security issue for Türkiye.
“THE LOVE TO RECEIVE INTERACTION IS ONE OF TODAY’S BIGGEST TRAPS”
Emphasizing the importance of digital literacy, Yayman continued as follows:
“We have always said that young people are our future and we need to take care of our young people and enable them to pursue their dreams. In Türkiye, people spend 7 hours out of 24 hours online. A third of 24 hours are on the internet for 7 hours. We spend 4 hours of this on social media, 4 hours. Please check yourself, how much do you look at social media a day. All of us, including me, first look at Instagram, then look at X, then look at Facebook, our e-mail, newspapers. We are looking at the news, already 1 hour has passed. We are back to the beginning and wondering who shared our post and liked it? Unfortunately, this love of interaction is one of the biggest traps of our time. Unfortunately, transnational digital companies have become the mother and center of evil. Racism, violence against women, substance abuse, cyber addiction, hate crimes, genderlessness, LGBT propaganda, Islam and hostility towards religion are definitely here. We definitely need to take these places under control with harsher measures.
Yayman: We know that bans are not the solution, but if we have to close, we will. We need to take urgent measures not only regarding digital networks, but also mafia series, morning women’s programs and game programs. As a nation, we need to face the facts

Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan makes a statement at the Antalya Diploma Forum
Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan made a statement at the closing of the Antalya Diploma Forum…
The highlights of Minister Fidan’s statements are as follows:
For 3 days, the pulse of global diplomacy beat in Antalya. 23 heads of state and government, 13 deputy heads of state and government and 50 ministers were hosted. We had the opportunity to take stock of the current crises in 52 sessions. We had the opportunity to listen to leaders and experts from all over the world at the same time. 6,400 participants from 150 countries and 66 international organizations attended our forum. This is a huge number when compared to its peers. We discussed joint plans and evaluated concrete steps through which we can establish lasting peace in our region.
WE WILL CONTINUE TO PLAY THE MEDIATOR ROLE
We discussed the phases of the Gaza Peace Plan. At the meeting where 6 Muslim countries came together, we discussed the Gaza Peace Plan and confirmed our common will regarding the process. The Gaza Peace Plan has an implementation process. Mechanisms such as the Peace Board began to be implemented. We mainly discussed where the vision to stop and reverse the Gaza Genocide brought us. We see diplomacy as the key to peace. We will continue to act as a mediator between the parties.
“WE ARE CLOSELY FOLLOWING THE DEVELOPMENTS RELATED TO THE STRAIT OF HORmuz”
We held the 3rd Pakistan-Türkiye-Saudi Arabia-Egypt meeting. From the beginning, we held consultations so that the four countries could continue on their path realistically by addressing all issues. There is a region around these 4 countries. We want to bring concrete issues to life. Our concern is “how to extinguish the conflicts in our region and how to bring stability to life”.
“THE PERIOD OF THE CEASE MUST BE EXTENDED”
There is a confused situation in minds regarding the Strait of Hormuz. We also follow the application closely. We will continue to inform the public as developments occur. The ceasefire period needs to be extended. It is not easy for the USA and Iran to solve the problems in two weeks. Türkiye continues its diplomatic traffic to extend the ceasefire between the USA and Iran.

Daily Agenda
Family decency collapsed, crime increased
While the school attacks in Kahramanmaraş and Şanlıurfa shocked the society, President of Religious Affairs Safi Arpaguş and Religious Affairs officials evaluated the dragging of children into crime. Arpaguş, who came together with the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Research Commission on Children Driven to Crime, noted that family separations, which become widespread due to divorce, are the most important factor in children being dragged into crime. Arpaguş said, “We used to have a large family structure; if the parents did not take care of their children, the family and the adults would take care of them. Now, with the nuclear family, the children are left homeless in the slightest disturbance or thing. Therefore, whoever is in their hands is pushed into crime. Since everyone acts with the principle of ‘Everyone hangs on his own legs’, when the parents first stumble or stumble in society, the children are left homeless and exposed to great dangers. These children are the biggest danger I see in the family structure.” “disinformation and the children left homeless as a result,” he said.

Referring to the importance of the environment in which the child is pushed to commit crime, Arpaguş argued that while the child gains self-confidence, the upbringing methods are destroyed. Arpaguş noted the following: “For example, when we say ‘Let the child gain self-confidence and develop personality’, we seem to have renounced our traditional education methods. The child sees a movie figure who fires the gun he draws without thinking. He sees another argument that stabs the knife he has taken without any fear, and he comes face to face with great examples of this in a digital media that is so open to violence. After a while, he sees this as something in the flow of normal life. So, the fear of God, okay ‘He does not fear God, he does not fear the servant. We have the expression ‘shameless’, but we have gone beyond that, we have come to a point as a society, we have missed that aspect of personal development and discipline that modern life offers us, and after that we cannot control it. When an official says to his child, ‘My child, there is worship being done here, be quiet for a bit’, that mother or father says ‘How can you say such a thing to my child?’ We encounter things that he approaches with his attitude. It seems that there is serious wear and tear in our social structure, as if we have been surrounded by such selfishness. Then, gradually, after the test is broken, we try to put the pieces together.”
WE MISSED TRAINING
While Arpaguş stated that preventive mechanisms should be developed, he emphasized that, as Diyanet, they are trying to make progress with guidance activities, Friday sermons and other projects, and said, “But the destruction is so fast and large that it is not possible for us to keep up with it alone. This is an issue that must be addressed together with all our stakeholders as a state policy.”
EMPHASIS ON STRUGGLE TOGETHER
Arpaguş continued as follows: “Now, if a crying child is given a phone, if the television is turned on in front of the misbehaving child, and if the misbehaving child is exposed to this bombardment, neither the Religious Affairs Directorate nor theology can cope with this. We do not have preventive measures, we need to take preventive measures. In other words, we need to stop the destruction so that we can start repairing it.” On the other hand, other religious authorities also presented their findings on the solution of the problem in the Turkish Grand National Assembly Commission.”

Vehicle reign in Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality – Breaking News
The dissenting opinion added to the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) 2025 Audit Report brought to the agenda the large increase in car rental expenses in the municipality. According to the report, vehicle rental expenditures increased by 153.25% compared to 2024 and reached 4 billion 854 million 233 thousand TL at the end of 2025. The Audit Commission stated that these expenditures were used inefficiently under the name of “service tools” and contradicted the concept of savings. The report also stated that advertising, concert and organization expenditures continued. It was noted that despite the circular stating that representation, hosting and promotion expenses should be limited, tenders for these items continue and resources are directed to these areas instead of priority services.
THEY DID NOT LISTEN TO THE WARNINGS
Another striking factor was that, in some tenders, although the IMM Preliminary Financial Control Unit expressed a “negative opinion”, the expenditures were carried out on the instructions of the relevant unit heads. It was stated that this situation became concrete especially in the purchase of equipment for the AKOM building. In the dissenting opinion, it was concluded that the municipal administration made high-budget expenditures despite the financial crisis discourses and that public resources were not used effectively and efficiently.
