Last Minute | New good news for farmers from President Erdoğan! “We do not have a food supply security problem”

Published

on

Breaking news: President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said, “On the one hand, while protecting our country and nation from the circle of fire surrounding us with our balanced foreign policy, on the other hand, we managed to ensure the food safety of our 86 million citizens without any problems.” he said.

Erdoğan attended the 14 May World Farmers’ Day Program held at Beştepe Nation Congress and Culture Center.

Expressing his heartfelt gratitude to the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry for organizing the meeting where they breathed the air of production and abundance, Erdoğan congratulated the World Farmers’ Day of all the farmers in 81 provinces, in the person of the farmers in the hall, who irrigate the land with their sweat, blend the crops with their labor, and add strength to Türkiye’s power and abundance to its table with their production.

Wishing all farmers to have a productive year full of abundance and abundance, Erdoğan said:

“May God reward your efforts in the best possible way. Finally, I am sending my strongest messages of solidarity from here to all my brothers and sisters in different parts of our geography, especially in Gaza and the West Bank, whose lands that they once cultivated were usurped and unfortunately irrigated with blood and suffering. God willing, we will all be blessed to see those beautiful days when those fertile lands become joyful again, trees grow green again, children laugh and have fun with joy.” “Let it be done.”

“If agriculture and animal husbandry are surviving in Türkiye today, if production and exports are breaking new records every year, it is because of your sweat,” said Erdoğan, adding the following:

“If our land, water resources and forests are protected in the most efficient way in Türkiye today, your attention has an impact on this. Every product that comes to our table has your pure intention, pure labor and sincere effort. Likewise, if the chains of tutelage have been broken in Türkiye and our democracy has gained a stronger structure, this has your blessing and support. You have a great role in crowning the War of Independence with victory and defeating the July 15 treason. Today, I would like to express my gratitude once again to all our farmers who set tractor tires on fire on the night of July 15, flocked to the streets, avenues and squares and defended the national will at the expense of their lives. May God bless you and keep your absence from this country, this nation and this ummah.

“SOIL IS PRECIOUS TO US, JUST LIKE WATER”

President Erdoğan stated that agriculture and land have a very important place in his pyramid of values and said:

“First of all, we are members of a belief that sees the world as the field of the afterlife. We strive to plow this field in the best and most productive way in what we cultivate and do. Soil is dear to us, just like water. It is life, blessing, abundance. Soil is also a means of purity and cleansing. The fact that we perform tayammum with soil in places where we cannot access water is a sign of a world of wisdom that contains many meanings. For us, soil is only with the blessings on it.” I would like to share with you an anecdote attributed to the late Yahya Kemal. One day, a foreign diplomat asked him about the population of our country. One of them said, ‘Sir, the population in your country recently. “According to what we read in the newspapers, Türkiye’s population is estimated to be approximately 14 million.” Then, without hesitation, Yahya Kemal gives the following answer: “I counted the things under the ground, because we live together with them.” Yes, my dear brothers, the land is blessed for us, as well as the people under it. With this understanding, we have cared for our land and our farmers who work it with their hard work.

“HE WHO HOLDS THE KEYS TO THE WAREHOUSE HAS THE POWER”

Reminding that they provided a total of 706 billion liras of support to agriculture last year, including direct support, credit support, investment allowance, intervention purchases and export supports, Erdoğan continued as follows:

“We have increased this figure to 939 billion liras for this year. Everyone now accepts this fact. In addition to water stress and climate crisis, the recent epidemics, hot wars and conflicts have also confirmed the importance of food supply security. Recently, we see that the concept called ‘food nationalism’ has become widespread on a global scale. Thank God, as Turkey, we have taken precautions against all of these in advance. We made our planning according to these facts, saying ‘Whoever has the keys to the warehouse has the power’. On the one hand, we have a balanced foreign policy.” “While protecting our country and nation from the ring of fire that surrounded us with our policy, we have also managed to ensure the food safety of our 86 million citizens without any problems. We have been on alert since the first day to prevent the conflicts that deeply shook Iran and our sister countries in the Gulf from affecting our agricultural production. We have already supplied fertilizer and fertilizer raw materials in agriculture, and our fertilizer stocks are at a sufficient level.”

Last Minute | New good news for farmers from President Erdoğan! We do not have a food supply security problem

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said, “Our dams are filling up, and we do not have any problems with irrigation. Hopefully, our crop production, which decreased the previous year due to agricultural frost and drought events, will rise again this year.” he said.

In his speech at the May 14 World Farmers’ Day Program held at Beştepe Nation Congress and Culture Center, Erdoğan reminded that they have implemented a series of additional measures, from reducing customs duty to zero and stopping exports.

Stating that there is no problem in agricultural production and food supply security, Erdoğan said that they are now making preparations for autumn planting in fertilizer.

Pointing out that 206 types of agricultural products are currently grown in our heavenly homeland, Erdoğan continued his words as follows:

“We are self-sufficient in most of these. Look, these figures are not given by us, but by the international organization; we are 3rd in the world in vegetable production and 4th in fruit. We are in the top 3 in 21 plant products. Likewise, we are at the top in the world and in Europe in raw milk, beef, chicken meat and eggs. We are the leader in Europe in honey production and the second in aquaculture. We are among the top 10 countries in the world in seed production. “We are exporting seeds to the country. Thank God, the rainfall has been good since the beginning of this year. Our dams are filling up and we do not have any problems with irrigation. Hopefully, our crop production, which decreased the previous year due to frost and drought events, will increase again this year. I hope this year will be a very fruitful year for many products, especially strategic products such as cereals.”

“OUR CAGR SUPPORT PROGRAM HAS STARTED TO BEAR FRUIT”

President Erdoğan stated that rural development forms the basis not only of agriculture but also of development policies.

Emphasizing that his priorities in this field are especially for young people and women to become the main actors of rural development, Erdoğan said:

“The aim is to increase the number of our breeder animals, to strengthen our family businesses, and to ensure that our women and young people take more part in animal husbandry. These are the targets we particularly focus on. Our Rural Abundance Livestock Support and Rural Abundance Sheep Support Projects were in great demand among our producers. We will make these support programs permanent, where our citizens procure animals at low cost and with affordable loans, and the annual maintenance and feeding expenses and insurance premiums are covered by the state. Our cattle support program has begun to bear fruit. Thank God, calves are being born, herds are growing, production is getting stronger. Applications for our sheep support program have been completed. We will deliver the first animals to the beneficiaries next month. On the other hand, we allocated 20 percent of the 10 billion lira budget we allocated to the Rural Development Investments Program to young people and 30 percent to our family businesses. This year, we increased both our grant support rate and the project limit amount to receive support from 100 thousand liras. “We will grant 50 to 70 percent of the amount for projects up to TL. Applications will continue until June 12.”

Erdoğan invited young people, women producers and all citizens engaged in agriculture to benefit from this advantageous program.

FOOD SUPPLY SECURITY

President Erdoğan said that they have left 2 years behind in the revolutionary production planning in which they determined which products will be planted where in agriculture.

Explaining that they identify livestock, dairy and poultry production regions and provide extra incentives for investments to be made in these areas, Erdoğan said, “Thankfully, we do not currently have a food supply security problem, thanks to the practices we have implemented, especially production planning. However, we are also implementing new regulations and support mechanisms to continue these efforts and to prevent food problems in the future.” he said.

TRANSFORMATION PROJECT OF TURKISH AGRICULTURAL FOOD SECTOR FOR EMPLOYMENT AND RURAL WELFARE

Stating that he wanted to share the project, which they see as a new move in rural development, with the nation, President Erdoğan stated that they have moved on to the second phase of planning in agriculture.

Pointing out that they will now plan agricultural investments in this new stage, Erdoğan said:

We hope to implement a system in which the labor of our valued farmers, who are the main artery of the agricultural sector, will not be wasted, they will not experience marketing problems, and their products will be processed in the right place and in the right industrial facility. This year, we are launching the Transformation Project of the Turkish Agricultural Food Sector for Employment and Rural Welfare, which will be implemented through our Ministry and with the resources provided by the World Bank. With the project, we will facilitate access to finance for entrepreneurs who want to invest in agriculture and food. We will provide repayment financing and credit guarantee system support up to 80 percent of the investment amount. We will provide our businesses with financing opportunities of up to 10 million dollars, with a maturity of up to 7 years, with a grace period of 24 months, and depending on the size of the project. This financial support will be given to facility construction and machinery and equipment investments in the field of agriculture and food. We are making the first $750 million of this $5.3 billion financing package, which we planned for 10 years, available to our entrepreneurs in 2026. Again, within the scope of this project, we will create a loan volume of approximately 500 million dollars for our farmers who have problems accessing credit and engage in primary production, with the mechanism that will include the Credit Guarantee Fund. Thus, we will create new channels for our 400 thousand farmers to market their products and bring new employment opportunities to 250 thousand citizens. “I hope that the Transformation Project of the Turkish Agricultural Food Sector for Employment and Rural Welfare will be beneficial to our farmers, producers and Turkish agriculture.”

Notes from the program

In the program organized with the theme “We have our traces on the soil”, the folk songs “Gönül Dağı” and “You are mine, I am yours” were performed by artist İsmail Altunsaray.

The promotional film prepared by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry was shown. Manisa farmer Cavit Çağlar Çankaya made a speech on behalf of the farmers.

The painting was presented to President Erdoğan by Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı.

We are the hope of not only 86 million but also the ummah

Published

on

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made important statements at the closing of the AK Party 33rd Consultation and Evaluation Meeting in Sakarya Sapanca. Erdoğan said briefly as follows:

❱ A QUARTER CENTURY-OLD EPIC: We opened a brand new page in Türkiye by establishing the AK Party on August 14, 2001. AK Party introduced many innovations to Turkish politics; It transformed Türkiye. If today we are talking about a quarter-century-old epic full of success at every stage, the importance we attach to consultation as well as the bridges of love we have built with our nation have a large share in this. On every page of this quarter-century-old epic; We keep our doors open to all kinds of suggestions and constructive criticism. Our principle is to hold ourselves accountable before the nation holds us to account. We have the ability to combine the experience of our gray hair and the dynamism of our youth on the same ground and melt them in the same pot. We have the ability to bring together all the colors of Türkiye under the umbrella of our party. AK Party has a “Türkiye Book”.

❱ WE CAME BY BREAKING BARRIERS: We set out on the journey of serving the nation 25 years ago with these intentions. We set out on this path knowing what we were aiming for; We came out with a unity of destiny, not a unity of interests. As our late master Necip Fazıl said: “Behind the curtain is the curtain, behind the curtain is the curtain; As each trench is overcome, the goal is in the other trench.” When we overcame a trench, new horizons opened up before us; When we overcome an obstacle, bigger goals appear before us. Of course, we paid a heavy price and faced huge walls. But we have come to this day by overthrowing the barriers placed in front of us, one by one, and by breaking down the barriers placed against us, one by one.

❱ WE DID NOT LEAVE OUR BROTHERS ALONE: We set out 25 years ago as the hope of the nation, but today we have become the source of hope for 100 million people living outside our borders. Now my dear brothers and sisters; During our term as Prime Minister and Presidency, we visited 81 provinces of our country with you many times. We went together to districts, towns and villages that no politician had ever visited before. We didn’t say far or near, we didn’t say rain and mud, we didn’t say sun, summer and frost; We traveled throughout Türkiye many times. We supported our Palestinian brothers against Israel’s state terrorism. We embraced sister geographies that had been neglected, ignored, and left out of Türkiye’s coverage area for years; We reached out to the oppressed. Wherever there is injustice or lawlessness, wherever Türkiye’s help is needed, wherever Turks are expected, wherever their path is awaited, we have tried to be there with all our means.

❱ YOU ARE THE HOPE OF GAZA: As white cadres, we are all the hope of 86 million, of course, but this organization, this party, this movement is not only the hope of 86 million, but also the hope of the ummah. Be sure; You are Gaza’s only hope. You are the hope of the rising Damascus. You are the hope of Aleppo, reborn from its ashes. You are the hope of Mogadishu, Khartoum, Beirut, Tripoli and Tripoli. Remember, Nicosia is looking at you; Baku is looking at you; Sarajevo, Skopje, Prizren, Baghdad, Basra are looking at you. Remember, we are a movement that receives the prayers and support of not only our own people, but also hundreds of millions of our brothers and sisters in our geography of heart. Whoever succumbs to his personal ambitions should know that the responsibility of our beloved nation and the ummah in sister geographies is on him.

WE WILL NOT BE CONFIDENT WITH THE PROBLEMS

❱ We will listen to criticism as much as, or even more than, congratulations and appreciation. We will especially stay away from arrogance and maintain humility. The ruling party means; It means door of need, door of trouble, door of cure. We will not ignore the problems reported by our citizens and will try to find solutions; We will push our possibilities even further.

At the end of the program, AK Party General Secretary Eyyüp Kadir İnan and Deputy Chairman Faruk Acar presented the sign with a crescent-star motif, on which the 10 stanzas of the National Anthem were written in Latin maquis style, repeated 33 times, to President Erdoğan.

THIS IS THE SQUAD THAT WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE GENOCIDE

❱ We have promises to the oppressed, we have debts to be paid to the oppressed, we have responsibilities towards the oppressed. See; They deliberately killed our baby Hind Receb, who was waiting for an ambulance in a car in Gaza, among the corpses of his relatives, while he was praying and reading the Quran with the healthcare worker. They deliberately killed the baby whose mother was breastfeeding him. They deliberately killed innocent babies in parks, schools, hospitals and incubators. Before they knew the world or understood what was going on, they martyred thousands of babies and thousands of young people whose mouths smelled of milk. There was a genocide there in Gaza; The attacks still continue. There is no doubt that the account for this genocide will be asked, asked, asked! We cannot neglect this. If God permits, this team will be held accountable for this genocide.

‘REMEMBER EREN BÜLBÜL AND ÖMER HALİSDEMİR IN EVERY STEP YOU TAKE…’

❱ I say it with all my heart; Your burden is too heavy. May those beautiful eyes, those innocent eyes of Hind Receb come to your mind in everything you do, in everything you do, in every step you take. Remember Eren Bülbül, remember Aybüke Yalçın, remember Ayşenur Alkan, remember Mehmet Selim Kiraz, remember Ömer Halisdemir, Halil Kantarcı, remember Martyr Mustafa Cambaz. Remember our companions who were the targets of bullets on the night of July 15. Remember their children, our brothers, who were cruelly taken away from life when they were only 16-17 years old. What you need to do is; It means to embrace your cause wholeheartedly, to do justice to the trust placed upon you, to work harder, to strive harder. If anyone is tired, please come aside and rest. Those who don’t come to the sidelines should do their justice to the field!

DISCUSSED KARABÜK WITH MPS

Within the scope of the 33rd Consultation and Evaluation Meeting, AK Party Deputy General Secretary and Karabük Deputy Cem Şahin and Karabük Deputy Ali Keskinkılıç met with President Erdoğan. At the meeting, where Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu was also present, investments in Karabük, planned projects and the priority needs of the city were discussed.

Reaction to Israel from Director of Communications Duran: It is a futile expression of the effort to cover up crimes against humanity

Published

on

Presidential Communications Director Burhanettin Duran reacted to Israel’s recognition of the 1915 events as “genocide”.

Director of Communications Duran, in his statement on his social media account, said, “It is simply hypocritical that the Israeli administration, which has committed the most brutal massacre of the 21st century by slaughtering tens of thousands of innocent civilians, including babies, women and the elderly, dares to use historical events as a political weapon. Israel’s recognition of the 1915 events as so-called ‘genocide’, the blood of Palestinian innocents on their hands, the state terrorism they carry out in the Middle East and the crimes against humanity they recklessly committed.” It is a futile manifestation of the effort to cover up.

“HE HAS NO RIGHT TO BE UNDER CONSCIENCE GUARD”

It is the greatest irony in human history that those who talk about moral and historical obligations are today a structure that constantly bombs hospitals, schools, places of worship and refugee camps and tramples on international law. “Those who are tried for the crime of genocide at the International Court of Justice have no right to give Türkiye a history lesson or act as conscience watchers,” he said.
