Minister of Internal Affairs Mustafa Çiftçi spoke for the first time about the police intervention against CHP Headquarters. Çiftçi stated that the security forces did not initiate the intervention and that it was implemented in line with legal applications from the CHP. Speaking on the issue, Minister of Internal Affairs Mustafa Çiftçi said, “The resulting situation is not the product of a process initiated by our security forces or state institutions, but the necessary result of a legal process brought to the judiciary. The court decision had to be implemented by our security units upon the request of the CHP administration.” he said.

EMPHASISED NEUTRALITY FOR SECURITY FORCES

Pointing out the impartiality of the security forces, Minister Çiftçi said, “Our security units cannot be a party to a political debate, an intra-party debate or tension. Our security forces served within the framework of their responsibility to implement court decisions and protect public order.” he said.

“THERE IS NO DETERMINATION”

Responding to criticism about the use of pepper gas and breaking of doors during the process at the CHP Headquarters, Çiftçi stated that the security forces acted within the framework of the principle of proportionality and said, “The attitude of our security forces is within the limits drawn by the law and there is no determination that these limits have been exceeded.” he said. Minister Mustafa Çiftçi also stated that a meeting was held with the CHP delegation and that time was given to reach a compromise between the parties, but despite this, no agreement was reached.

I speak this clearly; Because what we will put before them is the clearest and most definitive legal and political struggle in the face of those who cannot solve their own problems and those who cannot demonstrate any political ability regarding their own issues, constantly targeting our President, our AK Party and the People’s Alliance in this manner. Our esteemed President is our red line. We do not allow anyone to touch this red line.

Businessman Sarp Yalçınkaya, who benefited from effective repentance provisions within the scope of the file, mentioned a high-level opposition party politician who was a reference to Murat Gülibrahimoğlu, the fugitive defendant of the IMM corruption file, and played a role in introducing him to Ekrem İmamoğlu’s circle.

CASTING NEGOTIATION
Yalçınkaya said that this politician brought together Gülibrahimoğlu and İmamoğlu’s childhood friend Hakan Karanis at the Defne Restaurant in Yaşam Vadisi in Beylikdüzü. Continuing his statement, the politician said, “Murat will handle IMM’s casting and excavation permits on the ministry’s side, and in return, you will give all IMM’s casting and excavation works to Murat.”
