Türkiye’s first intercontinental ballistic missile is at Yıldırımhan SAHA

SAHA 2026 International Defense, Aerospace Industry Fair, organized at Istanbul Expo Center by SAHA Istanbul, Türkiye’s and Europe’s largest defense, aviation and space industry cluster, started yesterday. The opening ceremony of the fair was held with the participation of Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler, Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Presidency Defense Industry President Haluk Görgün, Haluk Bayraktar, Baykar Chairman of the Board of Directors Selçuk Bayraktar and high-ranking names from many countries. The big hit of the first day of the fair, which will be opened to the public on May 9, was the intercontinental hypersonic ballistic missile YILDIRIMHAN, developed by the R&D unit of the Ministry of National Defense and the largest and longest-range missile produced by Türkiye to date. YILDIRIMHAN has elevated Türkiye to a new league in strategic deterrence with its 6000 kilometer range. The missile, which uses liquid nitrogen tetroxide as fuel, is propelled by 4 rocket engines. The system, which is a critical force multiplier within the framework of modern warfare doctrines, restricts the opponent’s early warning and prevention opportunities by providing access to the target area with a combination of high speed and maneuverability. YILDIRIMHAN differs from its peers with its liquid rocket fuel and the amount of 3 thousand kilograms of explosives it carries.

YILDIRIMHAN instantly made a splash as breaking news in the world media. Promotional images of SAHA were shared on the social media accounts of Western-based media outlets, and the messages “Türkiye made a show of power with its 6 thousand kilometer range missile” were shared. The headlines “Türkiye shocked the world with its intercontinental ballistic missile” were posted on defense industry accounts with millions of followers. While it was pointed out that YILDIRIMHAN is a domestic production, the features of the missile were also listed one by one and the following expressions were used: “YILDIRIMHAN differs from its similar ones with the liquid rocket fuel it has and the amount of 3 thousand kilograms of explosive it carries.”

TUFAN AND KILIÇ ARE IN THE INVENTORY
Tufan and Kılıç systems produced by ASELSAN were among the unmanned marine vehicles introduced at the fair. Autonomous Underwater Vehicle Kılıç and Kamikaze Unmanned Marine Vehicle (İDA) Tufan have joined the new strike forces of the Blue Homeland.

Optimized for asymmetric naval warfare and underwater-surface operations, Kılıç stood out with its swarm operation ability and low visibility capabilities.

1000 KM RANGE RAVEN
STM Defense Technologies Engineering and Trade Inc. showcased the kamikaze UAV system “KUZGUN”, developed with national resources and attracting attention with its range of over 1000 kilometers and high explosive warhead, for the first time at SAHA 2026. The system, developed with national resources, offers effective operation capability at an altitude of 3,500 meters with a flight range of over 1000 kilometers and an airtime of up to 6 hours.

ROKETSAN introduced 4 new products, namely NEŞTER, CİRİT Anti-UAV, CIDA and mini cruise missile, at the SAHA 2026 International Defense, Aerospace Industry Fair. ENFAL-17 Low Altitude Air Defense Missile System developed by MKE created a great impact. The air defense missile takes its name from the surah in which the verse “When you threw, it was not you who threw, but Allah threw” is mentioned.

It provides effective defense against Şahid type unmanned aerial vehicles, cruise missiles and helicopters. ENFAL-17, which is 8 times cheaper than its equivalents, can also be integrated into MKE TOLGA.

The Cyber ​​Security Board held its first meeting at the Social Complex under the chairmanship of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The current stage of the National Cyber ​​Security Strategy and Action Plan covering the years 2024-2028 was discussed at the meeting. It was stated that the digital independence process will be accelerated with isolated networks such as KamuNet, domestic software inventory and national artificial intelligence solutions. The “Artificial Intelligence Shield” strategy developed by the Presidential Communications Directorate was also brought to the agenda at the meeting. This system aims to increase the data security of public institutions, prevent disinformation and establish a strong line of defense against international manipulations. It was also stated that Türkiye’s digital independence will be strengthened with projects such as domestic artificial intelligence chips, national software and isolated network systems. It was stated that data sovereignty is not a technical issue, but a matter of complete independence, and it was emphasized that “Türkiye’s data will remain in Türkiye.”

If the work experience gained from work carried out abroad, other than those committed to the administrations within the scope of Law No. 4734, is used within the relationship of a group of companies established on the basis of share majority in accordance with the second paragraph of Article 195 of the Turkish Commercial Code No. 6102 dated 13/1/2011, documents proving this legal relationship and the duration of this relationship must be submitted.

4.4. Works that will be considered as similar works in this tender:

4.4.1.

ALL BINDING AND BINDING WORK DONE FOR THE PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SECTORS WILL BE CONSIDERED AS SIMILAR WORK.

5- The most economically advantageous offer will be determined solely on the basis of price.

6- The tender is open to all local and foreign bidders.

7- Those who will bid for the tender are required to log in to their EKAP account and download the tender document.

8-Bids will be prepared via EKAP using the offer letter, tender participation certificate and other attachments, and will be signed with e-signature and sent via EKAP until the tender date and time.

9- Bidders will submit their bids in the form of bid unit prices based on the total price calculated by multiplying the quantity of each work item and the unit prices offered for these work items. As a result of the tender, a unit price contract will be signed with the bidder.

10- In this tender, an offer will be made for the entire work.

11- Bidders will provide a provisional guarantee in an amount they determine, not less than 3% of the price they bid.

12- There will be no electronic auction in this tender.

13- The validity period of the bids is 90 (ninety) calendar days from the tender date.

14- No bids can be made as a consortium.
