Holiday celebration between political parties at CHP Headquarters
CHP Headquarters was visited by delegations of AK Party, DSP, DYP, BBP, Democrat Party, MHP and Saadet Party, respectively, within the scope of the inter-party celebration program organized for Eid al-Adha.
Representatives of political parties were hosted by a delegation led by CHP Izmir Deputy Sevda Erdan Kılıç, including Konya Deputy Barış Bektaş and Gaziantep Deputy Hasan Öztürkmen.
FESTIVAL WITH AK PARTY
During the visit of the AK Party delegation headed by Adıyaman Deputy Resul Kurt, Kılıç congratulated the guests and the entire Islamic world on Eid al-Adha.
Kılıç pointed out the importance of trying to solve the problems of the country and its citizens, rather than being divisive in politics, and coming together more on this issue in the parliament.
Stating that their aim is for citizens to live in peace and prosperity, CHP member Kılıç said:
“We wish that retirees could receive more bonuses, could sacrifice animals comfortably, and our women and children could have a more peaceful holiday. The CHP family will continue to produce policies to find solutions to the problems of everyone living in this country. It will work in the Parliament for this purpose. We can always sit at the same table for the welfare of this country, as long as we can continue the unity and solidarity of the country together. Let me convey the greetings of our esteemed Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu.”
AK Party Deputy Kurt stated that holidays provide the opportunity for unity, solidarity and brotherhood and conveyed the greetings of the President and AK Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Kurt stated that both parties work in the Parliament within the framework of mutual love and respect, and emphasized that their only goal is to serve Türkiye and develop the country.
Referring to the Ukraine-Russia war and the US and Israel’s attacks on Iran, Kurt emphasized solidarity in Türkiye and said that the important thing is to feel the love of the country.
Kurt wished that the new administration in CHP would be beneficial and said, “I hope we will serve our country together.” he said.
Reminding that Türkiye survived a major earthquake disaster on February 6, 2023, Kurt said, “75 thousand houses have been completed in Adıyaman alone, a total of 450 thousand houses. All the wounds of the earthquake region have been healed in 3 years, this is not an easy thing. In Adıyaman, we approach all of them equally, without any party discrimination. They come to us when they have demands, and we look for a solution together. I hope we can keep our country alive together and strong against the outside world.” he said.
VISIT OF DSP DELEGATION
The next visit to CHP was made by the delegation headed by Democratic Left Party (DSP) Deputy Chairman Ali Artun.
After the greetings of the party chairmen were conveyed, Artun said, “You have overcome some troubles, but I think the situation is good now.” he said.
In response, Kılıç said, “CHP is a deep-rooted party. From now on, the party will continue to grow with solidarity and be the hope of the people.” he said.
Expressing his wishes for recovery regarding what happened, Artun said, “Hopefully, it will recover. It is very important in terms of being a big, well-established party and a party founded by Atatürk. It represents a large part of the people. Therefore, more logical, more accurate decisions need to be made. Of course, this is for both parties, I am not saying for you. It is very important for both parties.” he said.
Kılıç said:
“Of course, CHP is a party with many voices, democracy and different ideas coming together. But in the end, it comes together and becomes the hope of the people, expresses the problems of the citizens and the people, and produces solutions to those problems. It will continue on its way. That is why, after a certain period of time, we will come together with our friends, recover and grow. We will continue our journey to power.”
FESTIVAL CELEBRATION WITH DYP, BBP AND DEMOCRATIC PARTY DELEGATIONS
The CHP delegation then separately hosted the delegations led by True Path Party (DYP) Deputy Chairman Tuna Bayram Ekiz, Grand Unity Party (BBP) Deputy Chairman Ahmet Emin Ersin and Democratic Party Deputy Chairman Ömer Külahlı.
VISIT OF MHP DELEGATION TO CHP
Within the scope of the holiday program, the delegation headed by MHP Deputy Chairman Sadir Durmaz visited CHP.
After the mutual holiday congratulations, the greetings of the general chairmen were conveyed. Durmaz from MHP stated that CHP is one of Türkiye’s well-established political trees and congratulated the party community on the holiday.
Kılıç, from the CHP delegation, wished that the holiday would bring peace, prosperity and justice to Türkiye. Stating that MHP is a well-established party that has valued the country for many years, Kılıç said, “We will continue to do politics with common sense and by finding solutions to common problems.” he said.
Stating that the people’s problems should be solved in the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Kılıç emphasized that polarizing language should be avoided and national unity should be protected against the problems in neighboring geographies.
Durmaz stated that he agreed with Kılıç’s evaluations. Pointing out that more than half of the conflicts in the world in the last 30 years have taken place around Türkiye, Durmaz said, “In such a situation, it is very valuable for us to make our internal front stronger and to reinforce our law of brotherhood. Türkiye needs unity and solidarity more than ever.” he said.
“POLITICAL PARTIES ARE NOT ENEMIES”
Gaziantep Deputy Hasan Öztürkmen from the CHP delegation also said that political parties may be rivals, but they are not enemies.
For this reason, Öztürkmen underlined that it is necessary to unite when necessary for the interests of the country and stated that holiday visits are important not only in terms of courtesy meetings but also in terms of dialogues.
Öztürkmen argued that the existing system was insufficient to solve the country’s problems, therefore it was necessary to return to the parliamentary regime.
Emphasizing that he does not agree with Öztürkmen, but that open doors to dialogue are valuable for Turkey, Durmaz said, “We hope that our unity and solidarity will make significant contributions to the solution of the problems of our country that you mentioned. Today, we made our second visit to the DEM Party. It is extremely valuable to be able to talk, to meet, to adopt a common approach on some issues. I guess this is one of the most important elements of democracy.” made his assessment.
During the meeting, the activities of the earthquake research commissions established in the Turkish Grand National Assembly were also discussed and it was emphasized that urgent measures should be taken before disasters occur.
VISIT TO THE PHILOSOPHY PARTY
On the occasion of the holiday, the delegation headed by Saadet Party Deputy Chairman Sinan Tekin also visited CHP.
During the celebration, Kılıç and Tekin emphasized parliamentary democracy and justice.
During the visits, where evaluations were made on the current issues, guests brought flowers and chocolates, and tea, coffee, chocolate and baklava were offered to the guests at CHP.

Gürsel Tekin visited Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu: Remarkable congress historical message
Breaking news: Former CHP MPs Gürsel Tekin and Barış Yarkadaş visited CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu. Some party members also took part in Tekin and Yarkadaş’s visit to Kılıçdaroğlu. Making a statement after the visit, Tekin congratulated the members of the press on the holiday and expressed his condolences to CHP GNAT Group Chairman Özgür Özel, whose uncle passed away.
Stating that the CHP is a political movement that has overcome many difficulties and troubles in its history, Tekin said, “In the coming days, you will see a CHP that is busy with Türkiye’s real agenda without any difficulties or problems.” he said.
Stating that some party members sometimes behave in a way that will wear out the party, Tekin said, “I hope they will act with more common sense from now on.” he said.
ATTENTION-CATCHING CONGRESS HISTORICAL MESSAGE
Reminding that there were some calls for a congress to be held within 40 days, Tekin continued as follows:
“I know very well that all the lawyers next to Mr. Ozel know very well that an election cannot be held within 40 days. But it is a great injustice to our party workers that they constantly use these sentences in the name of consolidating the base and deceiving them. They do not give up. You gathered the people that day, after all, you left at 2 o’clock. You had a promise before. You said, ‘We will not leave here, we will do all kinds of action.’ As a result, you have immunity, no one came out and said anything to you. Why did you leave the people at the gate face to face with their brothers there? Why? “These are truly unacceptable.”
Stating that there was an injunction against the Istanbul delegates and that some of the delegates were detained, Tekin argued that insistently holding a congress with the same delegates under these conditions was not in line with the realities of life.
Tekin said, “We want to finish the process as soon as possible, in a way that suits the CHP’s culture, by starting our congress calendars and never ending up in the court corridors again.” he said.
On the other hand, CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu later went down to his house and congratulated Yarkadaş and other party members waiting in the garden.

Was his crime serving the public?
The citizens of the late Prime Minister Adnan Menderes in Aydın’s Koçarlı district cannot forget the pain of the May 27, 1960 coup, which resulted in the dissolution of the Constitution and the Turkish Grand National Assembly and the execution of Prime Minister Menderes and his two ministers. 66 years have passed since the coup of May 27, 1960, one of the black marks in the history of Turkish democracy. The pain of the incident remains fresh in Aydın, the hometown of Prime Minister Adnan Menderes, who was executed after the coup. In Çakırbeyli District of Koçarlı district, where Menderes was born and raised, the sadness continues as on the first day.

Çakırbeyli Neighborhood Headman Özer Orçan said that they greet every May 27 with sadness. Explaining that the coups caused a lot of pain, Orçan said, “If there were courageous people like on May 27 and July 15, if everyone could stand upright like our President, we would not have experienced this. I mean, it was different then, it is very different now.” Orçan stated that Menderes served the citizens and said, “What caused the coup? Was it his crime to serve the citizens? Is it a crime to reform his own land, distribute it to the citizens, and make citizens own land in exchange for a very small fee in a certain part? Is this a crime? To serve the country? To build schools and roads? Is this why the coup happened? No one has yet clarified this.”

BLOW TO DEMOCRACY
80-year-old Ahmet Yılmaz, one of the residents of the neighborhood, said that May 27 was a blow to democracy. Explaining that Adnan Menderes helped the villagers a lot, Yılmaz stated that he gave his own lands to the villagers at a low price to be paid in installments.

Adil Ünsal emphasized that coups were never for the benefit of the people and said, “The 1960 and 1980 coups were reflected as a blow to democracy, that is, to the people. Therefore, it was a great blow to the people both economically and from other perspectives.”

Dear members of our Turkish Armed Forces, heroic Mehmetçik of our heroic army, I greet you with my most heartfelt feelings and affection. I congratulate the blessed Eid al-Adha to all our soldiers and their precious families, who are the source of pride of our nation. I wholeheartedly congratulate you on the Eid of all members of our Prophet’s corps, who serve in our country, our region and in different parts of the world, and who work day and night for this country that we hold dear to our hearts.
‘WE ARE THE COUNTRY THAT PRODUCES CONFIDENCE AND STABILITY’
Dear Mehmetçik, the wars, crises and conflicts that have occurred recently reveal the importance of border security without leaving any room for doubt. Especially in recent months, it has become very clear what problems countries that are late and inadequate in protecting their borders are struggling with. Thank God, we are a country that produces trust and stability in our region and in the world in terms of ensuring both border security and the safety of our land, air and sea areas. We showed this quality to the whole world once again in the EFES-2026 Exercise, which we carried out with the participation of friendly, brother and allied personnel from 50 different countries. You successfully eliminate our borders from all kinds of threats and dangers, and you fulfill your duty devotedly even on holidays.
