Operation against delegate hunters – Breaking News
After the CHP’s 38th Ordinary Congress was deemed null and void and annulled by the court, 13 people were detained in 7 provinces in connection with the delegate exchange, where votes were purchased in exchange for money, tenders and jobs from municipalities. While 9 of the suspects were arrested, 4 were released under judicial control. Among the names taken into custody are Veli Ağbaba’s black box, Gaffar Çiçek, who collected bribes from municipalities, and then CHP Erzurum Provincial Chairman Safi Karayalçın, who transferred 130 thousand dollars to 10 delegates to help Özgür Özel win the congress. The confessions of the secret witness who applied to the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office and the detained IMM and Beşiktaş Municipality Council Member İlker Uluer caused a stir in the CHP. It was learned that among those detained, Özkan Deniz and İbrahim Şahin, as well as Umut Ünlü and Mehmet Eyyüp Demirdöken, were among those who received money in exchange for votes through Turgut Koç, a businessman close to Veli Ağbaba. It was learned that Ümraniye delegate Hayati Kaya was employed in Beşiktaş Municipality in exchange for votes, and the brother of Çekmeköy CHP District Chair Melda Tanışman Tutan was employed in return for votes. It was learned that Metin Kaya, who was mentioned in the operation in Şile, was caught on the grounds that he was the person who distributed cash to the delegation.
BROKERAGE FOR 1 MILLION EUROS
It was learned that there were findings that Gaffar Çiçek acted as an intermediary in the money transportation business during the period when Gökhan Böcek, the son of the detained Muhittin Böcek, took 1 million euros to the CHP Headquarters. The actions of the detained names were reflected in İlker Uluer’s statement. It was stated that the detained then CHP Erzurum Provincial Chairman Safi Karayalçın was given tenders from Beşiktaş Municipality to vote for Özgür Özel at the congress, and at the same time, 130 thousand dollars were transferred to persuade 10 delegates. It was noted that Ayça Aypek Şenay was appointed as a member of the High Disciplinary Board by Veli Ağbaba, with whom she had a love affair. It was also recorded that Gaffar Çiçek, Ağbaba’s disclosed safe, collected bribes from municipalities on behalf of Ağbaba. While Metin Kaya’s name was included in the investigation file as the person appointed by Ekrem İmamoğlu, it was claimed that former Ataşehir Deputy Mayor Kalender Özdemir was the person who distributed cash directly to the Çekmeköy delegation. Gülhan Aydın, Safi Karayalçın, Melda Tanışman Tutan, Hayati Kaya, Suat Dülger, Kalender Özdemir, Özkan Deniz, İbrahim Şahin, Umut Sapan, Mehmet Eyyüp Demirbüken, Metin Kaya, Gaffar Çiçek and Ayça Akpek Şenay, who were detained on charges of “opposing the Law on Political Parties” and “taking bribes”, were brought to Istanbul. 13 suspects taken into custody were referred to the court with a request for arrest.

‘CONSTRUCTION SHOULD BE HELD’
Stating that there is no consensus between the two wings, Özel said, “The congress should convene within the shortest time stipulated in the statute. This period is around 40 days. This is everyone’s wish. It is necessary to make a congress decision without wasting time. We will make a technical assignment. We also request this assignment from Kemal Bey.” On the other hand, a closed group meeting was held at the headquarters yesterday upon the call of Özel. It was noteworthy that 42 of the 138 CHP deputies did not attend the meeting. The headquarters wing argued that some deputies were excused. Özgür Özel, who decided to elect the group chairman at the meeting, was re-elected as the group chairman as a candidate. Özel also stated that this step was taken legally after the absolute nullity decision.
9 OF THE DEFENDANTS WERE ARRESTED
It was decided to arrest Safi Karayalçın, Suat Dülger, Kalender Özdemir, Özkan Deniz, İbrahim Şahin, Umut Sapan, Metin Kaya, Gaffar Çiçek and Mehmet Eyyüp Demirbüken, among the defendants who were referred to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan with the request for their arrest. Judicial control measures were ordered against the suspects Ayça Aypek Şenay, Gülhan Aydın, Melda Tanışman Tutan and Hayati Kaya.

The presidency that came with 1 billion 200 million
The 36th Civil Chamber of the Ankara Regional Court of Justice annulled all congress processes of the CHP, including the 38th Ordinary Congress in which Özgür Özel was elected as the chairman, on the grounds of “absolute nullity”. As Kılıçdaroğlu took office after the court’s decision, all eyes once again turned to the “Ekrem İmamoğlu Criminal Organization for Profitable Organization” indictment prepared by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office. In the indictment, which was also effective in the court’s “absolute nullity” decision, extensive coverage was given to allegations that Ekrem İmamoğlu and his team acted in an organized manner to take over the CHP and nominate the presidential candidate. The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office examined the images of the moments when Özgür Özel went on stage and gave a speech after declaring his victory, with the photographs added to the indictment. Acting together with İmamoğlu, who is claimed to be the leader of the organization, and allegedly directly influencing the outcome of the congress, and managing the congress process behind the scenes, İBB Medya A.Ş. President Murat Ongun and İBB Spor A.Ş. Its President and “Secret Safe” Fatih Keleş is also in the file. Necati Özkan, İmamoğlu’s advisors in his close team, and Yiğit Oğuz Duman, his advisor at Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, were also included in the file as other important actors who changed the course of the congress.
UNREGISTERED MONEY IN THE SYSTEM
Hasan Hüseyin Şenyurt, who testified as a witness in the investigation file, disclosed the unregistered money traffic carried out through advertising and tender processes with the following words: “Hüseyin Köksal is İmamoğlu’s safe. His private driver Servet Yıldırım used to tell me that he took bags of money from İBB Kültür A.Ş. and took them to Tuncay Yılmaz, the general manager of İmamoğlu company. Servet gave 1 billion 200 million liras to Berber at the congress. He said that they converted it into foreign currency at Yaşar’s foreign exchange office and gave it to the delegates, and distributed 70 flats of KİPTAŞ to the delegates.
BRIBERY UNDER THE DISPLAY OF DONATION
Another witness in the file, Erkan Çakır, pointed out the financial irregularities at the delegate level and said, “CHP delegate Veysi Uyanık knows very well the process of giving money to delegates and distributing shopping cards during the congress period. These cards and money distributed are bribes. They disguised everything as a donation, just like they did in the purchase of the provincial building.”
VIP LIST IN KİPTAŞ PROJECT
Another leg of the financing allegations in the indictment was contractor Adem Soytekin’s confessions regarding the KİPTAŞ Pendik Arkalı Project. Soytekin described the meeting they had with KİPTAŞ General Manager Ali Kurt as follows: “100 of the flats that will be sold in the first stage were reserved by KİPTAŞ under the name of ‘VIP list’. Ali Kurt said that the flats would be sold at 10 thousand TL, below the market, upon the instructions of Ekrem İmamoğlu. When he objected, 25 flats were given to contractors. The remaining 75 flats were distributed to CHP members, council members and municipal employees with political weight. These flats “It went to people who were influential in the congress process. Moreover, after the transactions, Ali Kurt asked us for 1 million 500 thousand dollars in cash. We withdrew this money and delivered it to Fatih Keleş or Tuncay Yılmaz.”

Scandalous statement from TBB President Erinç Sağkan, who visited Özgür Özel! He targeted the judiciary and pretended to be the spokesperson of the CHP
Erinç Sağkan, President of the Union of Turkish Bar Associations, visited Özgür Özel, who was suspended from his post as CHP Chairman with the “absolute nullity” decision of the court. Making a statement after the visit, Sağkan made scandalous statements by targeting the independent judiciary.
In his speech, TBB President Sağkan referred to the cases of people such as Selahattin Demirtaş, who was detained on terrorism charges, and Osman Kavala, the convict of the Gezi Park case, and claimed that the decisions of the Constitutional Court and the European Court of Human Rights were not implemented. Sağkan also targeted the IMM operations carried out on charges of bribery and corruption, and claimed that there were serious violations of rights during the investigation processes, the presumption of innocence was ignored, and the basic principles of criminal law were completely violated.
“POLITICS ARE DESIGNED BY THE JUDICIAL HANDS” Slander
Describing the current situation as a “negative picture”, Sağkan claimed that this picture shows an effort to design politics by the judiciary. Arguing that public trust in the law has completely disappeared, Sağkan said, “While we have to rely on the judiciary to protect our fundamental rights and freedoms, unfortunately, we live in a climate where the judiciary itself limits these rights and freedoms.” He continued his claims by saying. Sağkan argued that now the intervention of the Republican People’s Party by the judiciary has been added to this process.
SCANDAL WORDS: “IT IS PUTTING DYNAMITE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE DEMOCRATIC SYSTEM”
Arguing that what happened cannot be evaluated through legal discussions, TBB President Sağkan attempted to whitewash the questionable congress. Sağkan claimed that the party’s elected delegates wanted to create a perception that the party’s leaders, who were determined by their own votes, could now be determined by others through the judiciary. Claiming that this situation will mean the end of multi-party democracy, Sağkan said, “This actually means the end of multi-party democracy. This is a process equivalent to putting dynamite at the bottom of the democratic system.” he said.

BREAKING NEWS… First statement from Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu: We will bring CHP back to its moral codes
CONGRATULATIONS TO ÖZGÜR BEY ON HIS NEW POSITION
Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who was reinstated as CHP Chairman by the court, made a statement to the press members waiting in front of his residence.
Kılıçdaroğlu stated that he promised to make a statement to members of the press yesterday, but the statement was postponed until today because of a problem with his vocal cords due to heavy phone traffic. He congratulated Özgür Özel, who was removed from his post as CHP Chairman as a precautionary measure by the decision of the 36th Civil Chamber of the Ankara Regional Court of Justice, for being re-elected as the CHP GNAT Group Chairman.
Stating that Özel “expressed that he would meet with him” but the meeting has not taken place so far, Kılıçdaroğlu said, “I hope a meeting will take place in the coming days or today. He was going to call me, and he said to me, ‘I will call you after meeting with my friends.’ he said. “This meeting has not taken place yet, maybe it will happen today.” he said.
Reminding that CHP is a deep-rooted party that establishes and directs the state, Kılıçdaroğlu said:
“CHP must protect its moral values and superiority. In the presence of all of you, I promise all my citizens, especially the party members. We will restore the Republican People’s Party to the codes of its founding. It will have moral values. Our party has received a lot of criticism. There has been criticism from the opposition and civil society, but there has been no criticism about the party’s moral values until now, and now it is. We need to correct these moral values.
In this process, it is necessary to carefully avoid discourses that will divide the party’s base. I use very careful language on this issue. I express it the same way to all my friends. It is necessary to carefully avoid discourses that will divide and antagonize the party’s base. This party is a party that founded the Republic and adopted morality and virtue as its basic philosophy. “It is no longer right to expose this party to moral problems and to remain silent in the face of some similar events.”
“IT IS NOT RIGHT TO CREATE A FIGHTING ENVIRONMENT”
Stating that in the CHP party culture, negative or derogatory language will not be used about the person who is the chairman, Kılıçdaroğlu continued his words as follows:
“Because we are respectful to all party leaders and their criticisms. There were chairmen who criticized me. I have always approached them with respect before. I went to them about the criticisms and met with them. Therefore, creating hostility within the party base, getting into each other, creating a conflicting environment, these are not right. For this reason, I especially ask all my friends, deputies, provincial chairmen, district chairmen and the voters of the party. We must carefully avoid a language that divides this party within itself. We, the Republican People, “We are a well-established party, we have to protect our roots and morals.”
