In the new period that started with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s election victory on May 28, 2023, Türkiye has made remarkable moves in many strategic areas, from defense to energy, from foreign policy to industry. The meeting of the National Combat Aircraft KAAN with the sky, the supply of Black Sea gas to the system, the increase in oil production in Gabar and the record rise in defense industry exports were the most concrete examples of the “Turkey Century” vision reflected on the field. In the last three years, Türkiye has left behind critical thresholds to become a stronger, more effective and more independent actor not only in its region but also on a global scale.

THE DEFENSE INDUSTRY HAS BEEN FIRED: Under the leadership of President Erdoğan, Türkiye has managed to reduce the localization rates in the defense industry from 10 percent to 90 percent. More than 100 thousand tons of oil was produced daily in Gabar.
