Tutelage was institutionalized with the coup – Breaking News

Published

on

Menderes’ words on the way to the gallows and his last letter remained a deep wound in Türkiye’s memory of democracy for years. While military and bureaucratic tutelage was institutionalized with the 1961 Constitution prepared after the coup, it also laid the groundwork for the 12 March, 12 September and 28 February interventions that took place in the following years.

ADNAN MENDERES NEVER BELIEVED THERE WOULD BE A COUP

The Prime Minister of the time, Adnan Menderes, who was executed by the junta, was known as a person whose gentleness and naivety stood out. He was mostly accused of not taking precautions against the military’s preparations for a coup. Democratic Party Deputy Gıyasettin Emre, who met with Menderes just 2 days before the coup, was one of the people who personally witnessed the background of Menderes’ approach. Emre, who gave a special interview to Kamuran Akkuş in 2003 before his death in 2008, described the critical meeting held in the Prime Ministry before the coup as follows:
When the news of the coup came to light, I went to the Minister of Justice, Celal Yardimci, and asked him to make an appointment with Menderes. Menderes received us at the Prime Ministry at 24:00 that night. Sharing my concerns, I said, ‘Sir!… The Military Academy is boiling. “Even the deaf sultan can hear the footsteps of the coup,” I said.

WILL MEHMETÇİK MAKE A COUP?

Menderes held me with one hand and the Deputy with the other and took him to the window and said, “Do you see those Mehmetçiks standing guard? These Mehmetçik see that their Prime Minister works for the nation from seven o’clock in the morning until one o’clock at night. Is this Mehmetçik going to stage a coup!” he said.
Emre said that he learned about the coup from the radio through the voice of Alparslan Türkeş and that he and a few of his friends decided to surrender and said, “We went downstairs. I saw that a major had gotten into my Mercedes car, the keys of which I had given to the Parliament officials, and was driving around. I made a hand sign and he stopped. ‘What is it?’ he asked, ‘You are inviting MPs to the Military Academy. “Come on, take us away,” I said. He replied, ‘Yes, we are looking for your cattle.’ “We got in the car and he took us to the Military Academy.” He explained his experiences with his words.

On the instructions of the Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek, the file of the April 4 attack against the Fenerbahçe team was re-examined. The Ministry of Justice decided to “overturn the file in the interest of law” as a result of the investigation of the Unsolved Crimes Investigation Department.

THE FILE HAS BEEN OPENED AGAIN BY THE UNCLOSED CRIMES INVESTIGATION DEPARTMENT

We carefully follow the justified reactions and expectations of justice from our citizens.” “In this context, the file in question was examined again and meticulously by the Unsolved Crimes Investigation Department operating within our Ministry,” he said.

A DECISION WAS MADE TO REVERSE IN THE BENEFIT OF THE LAW

In line with the duty given by our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, we will follow up with determination until the end of the process to ensure justice is served. We will follow up any file in the dark.” “We will not allow it to remain; we will not allow any incident that hurts the public conscience to be covered up.”

President Erdoğan celebrated with Mehmetçik: “We showed our power to the world at EFES-2026” | Video

Dear Mehmetçik, the wars, crises and conflicts that have occurred recently reveal the importance of border security without leaving any room for doubt. We see very clearly, especially in recent months, the problems that countries that are late and inadequate in protecting their borders are struggling with.

Thank God, we are a country that produces trust and stability in our region and in the world in terms of ensuring both border security and the safety of our land, air and sea areas. We showed this quality to the whole world once again in the Efes-2026 Exercise, which we carried out last week with the participation of friendly, brother and allied personnel from 50 different countries.

Our Arda Border Company says ‘Border is honor.’ With the motto, it fulfills its duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, within our land and river borders. You successfully eliminate all kinds of threats and dangers from our borders, and you fulfill your duties and responsibilities devotedly even on holidays. For this, I thank you all from my heart on behalf of myself and my nation, and I pray that God protects you from all kinds of troubles and calamities. I pray that God will be your friend and helper.

With these thoughts, I once again congratulate you and all members of our heroic army on Eid al-Adha and kiss each of you on the eyes. Happy Eid-al-Adha.”

MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli visits the Idealist Martyrs’ Monument

Published

on

MHP Chairman Bahçeli visited the Idealist Martyrs Monument in Kızılcahamam within the scope of the ‘Idealist Martyrs Memorial Day’ events. After the recitation of the Holy Quran and prayers, Bahçeli left a carnation at the monument. Bahçeli said that they came together to commemorate the idealist martyrs with mercy, gratitude and respect and said, “May 27 is a holy day of accounting where we take ourselves into account in the face of the sacred memory of our martyrs and remember what great prices, what heavy sufferings, what blessed sacrifices are behind the positions we occupy today, the duties we undertake and the titles we carry.”

‘OUR CASE IS A PRAYER’

Stating that every level of the MHP is based on the blood of the martyrs, the sweat of the elders of the cause, and the suffering of the people of Taş Madrasa, Bahçeli said, “Therefore, for the Idealist, the position is a trust to be deserved. Every duty taken within the Nationalist-Idealist Movement is not a rank of vanity; it is a heavy responsibility that will be given first to God and then to our beloved nation and our sacred martyrs with their memories. This is heavy.” “The reason why we are not crushed under responsibility is because our direction is not based on personal calculations, but on the cause of Allah, the ideal of the world order and the will of the Turkish nation for eternal independence, because our cause is prayerful, our protector is Allah.”

‘Even if we die once, we will resurrect a thousand’

Emphasizing that the martyrs are a lamp to the path of generations with their names and memories, Bahçeli said, “The silence of our martyrs under the ground is louder than many speeches, and their absence is more alive than many beings among us. Because they give good news to their comrades who will come after them, who are made happy with grace and generosity, that there is no room for fear and sadness here. This good news tightens our ranks today, renews our faith, and solidifies our will. It is a legacy on the shoulders of those who are left behind, and a legacy in their hearts.” “Myar shines as a pivot to the hilly roads and as a sacred torch in dark times,” he said.

Bahçeli said, “From our first idealist martyr Ruhi Kılıçkıran to our Martyr Minister Gün Sazak, from Mustafa Pehlivanoğlu to Cevdet Karakaş, from Yusuf İmamoğlu to Dursun Önkuzu, from Fikri Arıkan to Cengiz Baktemur, from Ahmet Kerse to our last idealist martyr Fırat Yılmaz Çakıroğlu. “I shout from here once again that even if we die one, we will be “resurrected a thousand times with each link of our caravan of martyrs,” he said.

‘I REMEMBER WITH LONGING AND LOYALTY’

Emphasizing that idealism is the highest honor to be carried for a lifetime, Bahçeli said, “Martyrdom is the crowning of that honor with eternity. I declare once again in the presence of our martyrs. As the Nationalist Movement Party, we will protect the unity and solidarity of our nation, our peace and order, our national survival and spirituality until our last breath. The state is our motto for eternal life, our ideal of Turkish unity, as the last bastion of Turkish nationalism. As I conclude my words, I commemorate with longing and loyalty the late Gün Sazak Bey, who was martyred as a result of a heinous assassination on May 27, 1980, and all our martyrs who fell to the ground for the sake of the Turkish-Islamic ideal on individual dates, along with our idealist martyrs who were sent to the gallows during the September 12 oppression. “May their souls be in peace, their positions high, and their trusts eternally cherished. How happy are those who consider their ideals as the essence of their personality,” he said.

Remarkable move from Kılıçdaroğlu: Two CHP vehicles were put up for sale with the phrase ‘haram money’!

Published

on

There is no calm at the Republican People’s Party Headquarters. The luxury vehicle, inherited from the period of former chairman Özgür Özel and allocated to the party by questionable names, was put up for sale by the Kılıçdaroğlu administration with the label “Haram”.

A News Reporter İlter Yeşiltaş conveyed the behind the scenes of this luxury vehicle crisis that shook the political agenda and the striking expressions on the vehicles.

The first of the luxury vehicles exhibited in front of the CHP Headquarters attracts attention with the name placed on its license plate. About the vehicle, which is claimed to be related to a contractor who confessed in the IMM investigation, İlter Yeşiltaş conveyed the scandal with the words: “The name of Aziz İhsan Aktaş was placed on the license plate of the vehicle on the left. It is claimed that this vehicle was gifted to the headquarters by Aziz İhsan Aktaş, who was a confessor in the IMM investigation. On the vehicle, there is the phrase ‘HARM vehicle for sale from Contractor Aziz’.”

LUXURIOUS DESIGN FROM MUNICIPALITY TO PRIVATE!

The second vehicle on display reveals how local government resources are used for personal comfort. Explaining the process regarding the vehicle bearing the name of Uşak Mayor Özkan Yalım, İlter Yeşiltaş said, “On the other vehicle, Özkan Yalım’s name was placed as a license plate. The current administration claims that the interior design of this vehicle was made by Özkan Yalım, with funding from the municipality fund. The sign on the window of the vehicle, ‘HARAM vehicle for sale from Havlucu Mayor’, draws attention.”

“WE DID NOT KNOW” DEFENSE FROM ÖZEL

After the scandal broke out, statements from the current CHP management regarding the issue were not delayed. Stating that they learned about the use of luxury vehicles at the party later, Özgür Özel said, “We were not aware of this situation, we knew that the interior design expenses were covered by Özkan Yalım’s own pocket. If there is a public damage, we will pay for it,” in a sense, he accepted the irregularity.

VEHICLES ARE ON SALE

The fate of these two luxury vehicles, which hit the political agenda like a bombshell and were exhibited in front of the headquarters with the label “haram”, has also become clear. Stating that the vehicles that have caused controversy for a long time will be sold, İlter Yeşiltaş shared the latest situation in front of the headquarters by saying, “According to the information we have obtained, the current management will put these two vehicles on sale. Harsh messages towards the old management continue to be given with the writings on the vehicles.”

He lost his seat, his balance was disrupted – Last Minute News

Published

on

The balance of Özgür Özel, who lost his chairmanship after the absolute nullity decision regarding the questionable congress of CHP, was disrupted. Özel, who wanted to organize a rally under the name of ‘festival’ in Izmir, first stubbornly said, “We will go to Cumhuriyet Square.”

When this request was not accepted by the Governorship on the grounds that “a limited number of people could be admitted to the square”, Gezi-like scenes emerged. CHP Izmir Provincial Chairman Çağatay Güç and the party management stated that they would not change the address despite this decision of the Governorship and invited the party members to Cumhuriyet Square.

The square was closed with a police barricade. Following the insistence on an unauthorized rally, Izmir Police Department teams went on alert. While Cumhuriyet Square was completely closed to pedestrian and vehicle traffic with police barricades, many riot police buses and TOMAs were deployed around the square.

Entry and exit to the square has been completely stopped. After Özel climbed onto the TOMA in Ankara, one of his supporters climbed onto the TOMA in Izmir and damaged the mechanism that squirted water.

Although the Governorship pointed to Gündoğdu Square, 700 meters away, for the rally, Özel’s supporters got into a fight with the police for a long time. Two people were detained in the incidents. In his private speech, he made an absurd suggestion such as “Let 2 million CHP members elect their leader, I will kiss the hand of the winner.”

ÖZEL’S GROUP PRESIDENCY IS ALSO FALLING
The arm wrestling between CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and Manisa Deputy escalated. It was reported that CHP Headquarters delivered a 3-page petition to the Presidency of the Parliament to remove Özgür Özel’s group chairmanship. In the petition submitted to the Presidency of the Parliament, it was emphasized that the agenda of the group meeting could be made by notifying the MPs 3 days in advance. The petition in question also bears the wet signature of Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu. Özgür Özel, who lost his chairmanship with the absolute nullity decision of the appeal, is expected to lose his group chairmanship as well. It was reported that Kılıçdaroğlu, who was preparing to frustrate Özel’s recent “group chairman election” move, also stated that the said election would be repeated. With this legal maneuver by Kılıçdaroğlu, Özel is expected to lose his title of “group chairman” and vacate his chamber in the Parliament in a short time.
