Rojin’s phone password will be cracked! Minister Tunç met with the Spaniard “We notified the authorities of Türkiye’s request for assistance”
While the investigation into the death of Rojin Kabaiş, whose body was found 19 days after she disappeared in Van on September 25, 2024, was ongoing, Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç’s contacts in Spain took the investigation to a new stage. Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç and Minister of Justice of Spain Felix Bolanos Garcia discussed the Rojin file during their meeting in Madrid, the capital of Spain. Minister Tunç, who was in Spain for the OECD Equal Access to Justice Global Roundtable Meeting, emphasized the importance of judicial cooperation with the Spanish authorities in his meeting with his Spanish counterpart in order to access the digital data on Rojin Kabaiş’s mobile phone.

Minister Tunç said, “The investigation initiated by the Van Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office regarding the death of our daughter Rojin continues meticulously. The cause of death has not yet been clarified, but the recovery of her mobile phone is of critical importance. We believe that the support provided by the Spanish authorities in finalizing the request will make a significant contribution to both the administration of justice and the strengthening of trust and friendship between our countries.” he said.
Spanish Minister of Justice Garcia stated that they had information about the Rojin file and that they followed the issue closely after communicating with the Turkish authorities. “We reported the request for legal assistance from the Turkish authorities regarding the criminal investigation of the mobile phone to the prosecutor’s office and the police. Since the process of obtaining the digital data will be carried out by the police, I also informed the Spanish Minister of Internal Affairs. I requested the Spanish police to take the necessary actions as soon as possible on this issue. Our Minister of Internal Affairs also personally dealt with the issue. The procedures to be carried out through both the prosecutor’s office and the police will be concluded as soon as possible.” he said.

COOPERATION BETWEEN THE TWO COUNTRIES WILL BE STRENGTHENED
During the meeting between the two ministers, the successful relations between Türkiye and Spain, especially judicial cooperation, were also evaluated. Minister Tunç commemorated those who lost their lives in the flood disaster that occurred in Valencia last year and emphasized that he wholeheartedly shared the pain of their families, and noted that Spain’s aid to Türkiye in the earthquakes that occurred in 2023 was not forgotten, and that its humanitarian and conscientious stance on the Palestine issue was appreciated.
Minister Tunç said, “As Turkey, we also appreciate the humanitarian and conscientious stance displayed by Spain on the Palestine issue. As two coastal countries of the Mediterranean, we are determined to further strengthen the friendship and cooperation between Turkey and Spain.” he said. Emphasizing that Turkey and Spain have important cooperation in commercial, economic and defense fields as well as judicial and legal fields, Minister Tunç said: “We are very pleased that the judicial cooperation mechanisms between the two countries have operated positively and in mutual trust to date. The effective use of communication channels between our Ministries of Justice provides significant speed and efficiency in both extradition and legal assistance processes.”
Minister Tunç gave information about the digital studies in the field of judiciary in Türkiye, especially UYAP, and invited the Spanish Minister of Justice to Türkiye to further strengthen the judicial cooperation between ministries and ensure more effective cooperation. The host minister accepted the offer and said that he would visit Türkiye in May or June next year.

The case requesting the cancellation of the CHP Istanbul Provincial Congress was rejected
It was decided to reject the lawsuit filed in the Ankara 3rd Civil Court of First Instance, demanding that all decisions taken at the CHP 38th Ordinary Congress and the Istanbul Provincial Congress be annulled and the congress and congress be deemed as absolute null and void.
At the hearing at Ankara 3rd Civil Court of First Instance, defendant CHP’s lawyer Kadri Gökhan Sultan was present, while plaintiff’s lawyer Onur Yusuf Üregen excused himself and did not attend the hearing. The trial judge stated that the plaintiffs, who wanted the cancellation of the Istanbul Provincial Congress, waived their case. Later, the promised lawyer Sultan requested the rejection of the case. Announcing his decision, the judge rejected the request for cancellation of the Istanbul Provincial Congress due to the waiver of the case. Stating that a lawsuit was filed in another court regarding the 38th Ordinary Congress of the CHP and that the case in question was pending, the judge ruled to reject the case in this regard as well.
ALLEGATION THAT DELEGATES WERE PROVIDED BENEFIT AND THEIR WILL WAS SURPRISED
A lawsuit was also filed at the Ankara 3rd Civil Court of First Instance, claiming that “the will of the delegates was corrupted by providing benefits to the delegates” at the CHP 38th Ordinary Congress and the Istanbul Provincial Congress, demanding that all decisions taken be annulled and that the congress and congress be deemed as null and void.
At the hearing held on September 11, 2025, the court decided to reject the case on procedural grounds, on the grounds that the 38th Ordinary Congress case held on November 4-5, 2023 continued in Ankara 42nd Civil Court of First Instance, and that there was currently an ongoing case on the same issue. Additionally, the court ruled to reject the case filed against CHP Istanbul Provincial Directorate due to “absence of passive hostility”.
The file was moved to the court of appeal after the plaintiff’s attorney, lawyer Onur Yusuf Üregen, objected to the decision. The 4th Civil Chamber of the Ankara Regional Court of Justice found the local court’s decision to reject the case on the grounds of “absence of passive hostility” as “contrary to the right to be heard” because the judgment was made in the absence of the excused plaintiff party.
The chamber stated that making a decision before the legal deadlines for the parties to present their evidence was a procedural error, and decided to revoke the decision of the Ankara 3rd Civil Court of First Instance and reheard the file.

We are taking steps to strengthen the standardization of women’s entrepreneurship in the business world, access to finance and integration into global markets. The “Principles of Women’s Action in Sustainable Development”, which we shared with the public on March 8, are a clear expression of this will. In this context, we examine the business world, the potential of women, leadership, decision-making, technology, finance and corporate culture. We invite you to evaluate it with all its dimensions.” Explaining that they have supported the establishment of 1,366 new women’s cooperatives to date and expanded the businesses of approximately 10 thousand women entrepreneurs through e-commerce collaborations, Göktaş emphasized that they attach special importance to the presence of women in the sectors of the future with projects such as “Türkiye’s Engineer Girls”, “Young Women Creating Their Future” and “Energy School for Women”, which have reached more than 10 thousand women.

THE MAIN TITLES ARE AS FOLLOWS…
“Firstly, women’s access to the skills of the future should be strengthened. Digital and financial literacy, artificial intelligence, green jobs and entrepreneurial skills are the main topics of the new era. Secondly, care services should be considered as one of the main areas that support family life and strengthen women’s participation in economic life. Accessible, quality and affordable care services are a strategic investment that increases women’s employment and strengthens work-life balance. Thirdly, women’s access to finance, markets and decision-making mechanisms should be strengthened. Because when women’s labor participates in production, the economy grows. Women make decisions. “The nature of development changes when it participates in the acquisition processes.”
“EVERY PARTNERSHIP WE CREATE TODAY CAN GROW A WOMAN’S BUSINESS”
Stating that Turkey is ready to share experience in these three fields, develop joint projects and deepen global cooperation, Göktaş said, “No development model that does not put women’s labor, knowledge, courage and leadership at the center of the economy is complete.
